Bluemoon goes into Meltdown

the exception that proves the rule. the big clubs immediately came in for their top players.

Well, Chelsea took Kante & Drinkwater over 2 seasons. Vardy & Mahrez stayed. They were hardly stripped for parts.

And sure, they were an anomaly that will likely not be repeated, but the reason their achievement was so momentous, compared to something like Athleticos or Wolfsburgs, is because they had to beat off (!) 6 prominent power clubs, rather than just 2, or even 1. Point being, we were already a highly competitive league, and the two clubs backed by implausibly wealthy benefactors weren’t even their competition that year! One scraped CL qualification on GD and the other finished 10th. Neither provided much needed added competition.

Again, I’m not saying I want to abolish it, but of all the leagues to apply the “it’s needed to break up the monopoly” argument to, ours is the least poignant.

bourgeois libs who pretend to care about justice for all but really just want to secure their place in the elite

That’s actually pretty damn spot on.

Would that make Liverpool the new left white hipster ideologues who prioritise their self righteous principles to the obvious detriment of the club as a whole?

Proper hard bastard, this one. Southerner obviously, he says, whilst his location is Lincoln.

I was in the bar with a load of work mates for this game.

There was some horrible Rag b**stard (Southerner, obviously), stood right behind me shouting and screaming for everything. There was one moment where that c**t Scholes went in for a pretty hefty challenge, and the Rag behind me screams "Kick his f**king neck off Scholesy", spraying his beer everywhere. This was not long before Vinny buried it in their net. When the ball went in, and I was sure the ref was going to allow it, I turned round completely out of character for me, put my finger to my lips, and said "Shhhhhh" right in his face. The Rag was absolutely raging, and his scally mates had to do the old comedy "hold me back" routine. I just turn round and casually carried on supping my pint. I was expecting a wallop, but nothing came my way. When I turned round 5 minutes later he'd gone.

I remember I posted a thread from bluemoon on here a while ago in which posters talked about how they avoid the colour red. They have another recent one in which they talk about how they disassociate themselves from united as a whole: http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/t...-fans-do-to-avoid-united-associations.331793/

They talk about doing things such as not buying sharp or Vodafone products. One dickhead said he refused to buy an AEG washing machine and other posters had to correct him that united’s former sponsor was AIG not AEG  another poster said he walked all the way to the match on one derby day instead of getting a lift cos the car was red :wenger:

They’re so fecking weird, obsessed and petty. I genuinely believe that some of them would completely disown their own child for supporting united.

On another note, since they’ve been getting dodgy decisions in their favour this season the ‘agenda’ and ‘referee decisions’ threads have been fairly quiet...

They must have hated winning the cup winners cup in 1970.

I so hope they aren't serious. What a weird bunch.

earlier this week I had to help my Girlfriend look for that Utd away kit from 1992 for a Christmas present for her brother. I wasn't happy to start with, being given this task. Anyway, as I had to click on so many Utd links to find that shite kit in stock on loads of different sport websites I had to then go on the City section of all these websites just to even up the website hits so they couldn't gain an advantage in any way. Took me ages. I'd do it all again even if my GF does think I'm a massive loser.

No way they are for real

Some great quotes from there:

I never buy noodles.

I sewed up my arsehole because turds remind me of THEM.

These guys are mental.

Win, lose or draw, this counts as another famous victory tonight for the winning streak, right, as they go will go through to the next round of the cup?

Unfortunately I feel like they very much are being serious
They're not really a fair representation of City fans. Every City fan I know or have known has been alright. These guys go beyond supporters of a football clubs - they're just proper mental people!

They can't lose really. It will go down as tonight didn't really matter as it was a dead rubber. On the flip side they will tell you that all those dead rubbers they won against Bayern mean that they are truly worthy of a place at the top table.

I just made an account in Bluemoon. I remember reading something there years ago, but I did not remember that the web was like that
The design is the same as redcafe. I assume that they have copied everything !, even the user options within the profile.

Just the same forum software, I would imagine.

I doubt it’s the same software, there’s something weird about the site - it slows everything down, has a clunky feel to it. One of the reasons that I use the caf is because it functions so well especially in comparison to bluemoan.
The other reason is that bluemoan is poorly moderated and has allowed the idiots to take over, which scares the more sensible fans away from the football threads.
If you check out the non-football forum (off topic) on BM you’ll see that the posters are just as sensible and reasoned as the more sensible and reasoned posters on here.

They called me a red and say I suck up to you guys... heartbroken lol.

We lost today and yet somehow you have something positive to speak about us for them to call you a red. Even we have nothing to say positive after today so hats off to you:D

This was a couple of days ago I think but I only saw it today. I have nothing positive to say about ye since the derby either. Sorry.

What was it that you said?

I haven't a clue mate. Honestly, maybe it was the disagreement I had with Glaston not too long ago where I said you guys were imho clearly the 2nd best team in the league and easily 2nd faves. Maybe because I don't call you all names and storm about while trying to get banned in a blaze of blue glory. Honestly, I thought most people on here would say I'm overly protective of City. In general I think it might be because I don't need to hate United to support City.

They're right mate. You need to go around having childish digs in every one of you posts and call us rags at every opportunity. That's how discussions work.

you only have to disagree with them on one thing and youre a rag. If they signed Griezmann tomorrow and a forum user over there said dont think we need him,hes a tad overrated, he'd be called all the rags going.

I used to go to the forum for a laugh because some of the conspiracy theories they came out with were pure gold. To this day the fact grown adults over there, create threads just to slag off pundits, or media etc because they said something not very nice about City, is staggeringly sad. I have never witnessed a forum where the majority of the users are seriously obsessed with what other people think of their club. Way too insecure. And that ties in with them calling people rags if they dislike a player you sign.

I also dont think i have ever seen you lose a game, and them lot not accuse the ref of being a rag, or bent, or a cheat. Like, ever.

Hats off.

Wish more fans felt the same on both sides.

It wouldn't surprise me if Arsenal rang United and asked them to put a false bid in to try and up the transfer fee.

These 2 f***ers have been working together for years to try and destroy us.

Even more so now PEG is in-charge, and not long after crying like a bitch about City's player spending power compared to United's.

Ffs :wenger:

Mourinho and Wenger involved in a conspiracy.
You have to be certified to believe that.

Just visited Bluemoon, jeez those guys hate us like anything. Hats off to many of our fans who treat most of the city fans with respect. They can't not mention us even in post in which we are not remotely associated. They somehow bring the word rag and downplay us.

Like I said yesterday the main reason they were bought by sheikh is thanks to the success and global appeal of their neighbour. Be thankful and grateful.
