Bolton vs. Manchester United - 1 April 06

fergie has completely missed with the tactics.
fletcher keeps making the same mistakes as he did against west ham, spends to much time with the ball and gives it away without bolton players even breaking a sweat. secondly, what position is fletcher playing ? he´s running all over the pitch and giggs keeps moving towards the middle, its fecking annoying as we have absolutely no width in the team. the beginning looked promising, giggs kept to the left, we had width and we took advantage of ronaldo who set up two very big chances. now we have no width and they are marking ronaldo out of the match without worrying about our left side.

get fletcher out, move giggs to the middle and get park on the left/right.

I have still yet to see you praise Fletcher.

Great goal by Saha

United has been very poor so far with Rooney having a stinker - no interest, poor first touch, losing 60% of the ball & indulging in stupid flicks & chest-ons without any success - has he gone stale?

Rio is having another stinker & it was his effeminate tackle on Davies which led to the latter waltzing through & taking his time to choose his spot with no United defender in sight!

Saha's little piece of magic in scoring has salvaged something. And the only other bright spot so far has been surprisingly Fletcher - he's at least fighting very hard in the middle of the field.

If United doesn't come out of second gear, they won't win the match & might even lose!

Fletcher is probably given his last chance to impress. Probably he might just be the scorer of the winning goal.

Fletcher is, well, just typical Fletcher, if he does not start, all the better, if he does, the team is playing with a disadvantage when going forward. But, don't always see the negative side.

If Ronaldo is marked out of the game, so be it, that leaves no one marking Fletcher who 'could' come in late and nick the winner.

Shut up ThomasM, your match analysis' always rubbish.

Agreed.

Bolton are notorious for their unfashionable play and tend to do the little things well, Fletcher's importance is more for he tends to do those same little things well himself. He has been pretty good this half.

Rooney and Ronaldo have never been into the game. Need to get them more imvolved to unsettle their defence.

why cant we just field our best team against one of the best opponents we will face during our last games ?

ronaldo-giggs-o´shea-park.
Ask Fergie, not us

Agreed. By all Fletcher standards, he has done enough, nothing more nothing less.

How to get Rooney more involved if he has to come deep to help collect the ball that Fletcher is supposed to release early, creatively, to the forwards?

Anyway, as long as Fletcher plays, it is going to be difficult. But, on the other hand, Fletcher probably offers another line of cover for the defenders.

we are doing fine, they have managed one chance on goal dont be so negative

Let's wait and see. There's a whole 2nd half. Fletcher, I mean anything can happen.
