Bolton vs. United

I hate Bolton for many many reasons, mostly for their inbred small town idiot behaviour but more recently because of my fellow Salfordian neighbour Ivan Campo.

The bouffant haired feckwit lives near me and he's been in trouble lately with Salford council for letting his dog shit on the streets of Roe Green. He didn't pay his £50 fine either.... the big time charlie. He's a cock of the highest order.

I'm sure there's a Big Sam quote about it out there somewhere.

..............Van Der Sar

Neville Ferdinand Vidic Heinze(please)

Fletch Carrick Scholes Giggs

.........Rooney Ronaldo

I know, I know. But Saha can come on if we need him. I think we are stronger this way? I duno. Opinions welcome.

My opinion, is that Heinze is not ready, particularly for a game like this, and Evra has done well for us and we shouldn't just push him to one side now Gabby is back. Evra must either lose his place, or Heinze must show something in training and take it from him.

As for Ronaldo playing up front, we have been waiting all season to field our first choice midfield, with Ronnie and Giggs on both flanks, if he is fit then that is where he belongs and how we should play. Once that midfield becomes settled again, our play can only get better still you would think. Also, we want the Saha-Rooney partnership to prosper, they still haven't been playing together all that long as it is, and where's the logic in fielding an untried front line and in a game like this? When not forced upon us either?

What is that, our 5th option as a strike pairing? I know there is a belief that he can play there but now is not the time to test it IMO is all.

This game will be a challenge enough as it is, let's not make it more of one.

My reasoning was A: Saha is in a slump and B: I like Ronnie on the left

---------------VDS---------------
Neville------Rio-------Vidic---Evra
Ronaldo---Carrick---Scholes--Giggs-
------------Saha---Rooney------

Fletcher has done well this season, but I don't see how he features when we have our strongest players available. Maybe he could compete with carrick, but other than that I don't see him being in the team ahead of anyone else, especially since everyone else in midfield are in good form.

Great pick, would maybe swap Brown for Smith. Bolton are a side with good abilities in air, so this could possibly leave Evra out for O'Shea or summat

I think he'll go with Heinze because of Boltons long ball tactics. But on form Evra deserves to start

I`m going with this team as well. I want Fletch instead of Carrick against a battling Bolton side. Evra has deserved to keep his spot, and the rest gives itself actually. After the Liverpool fixture it`s important to get down on the ground again.

It`s in these fixtures that you win the Premiership, not the big ones.

Pred:

a 2-0 win. Rooney (for gods sake) and Scholes

Bolton v. United

Skysports.com Prediction: 1-1
Sam Allardyce has already stated a draw will be a good result for Bolton and he may get his wish.

Player to watch: Jussi Jaaskelainen

Apologies if this has been posted in another thread but what's Big Sam on about

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce:
"We have to cope with what United will throw at us.

"We've just beaten Liverpool and if we could go to Old Trafford and win as well in such a short space of time it ould be something of a miracle for us.

"It's such a big game for us that the players will drive themselves to their very limits to try and upset one of the big boys again.

"But we are proud of our defensive record and will use that as catalyst to try and maintain it."

Bolton are at home

If Bolton go to Old Trafford, do we win by default?

Is it on any English speaking channels. Is ESPN Asia just called ESPN on TvAnts because otherwise it is missing.

Bolton is playing hard tackling football, but when Quinny and Nolan are propably injured we should beat them 2:1 or 3:1...

Fast passings style of play by Scholes, Carrick and Fletch can do the job to take control of the game.

Bolton 0 - United 3

Rooney 26', 63', 78'

Can we hold you to those times? ;)

It's the £75,000,000 Euro Millions draw tonight, any chance of telling us the winning numbers while your at it?

 He last scored against wigan on 14 oct, failed to score against copenhagen and liverpool, and didn't play against crewe. Hardly a slump.

If they adopt the usual shape then width will be critical to us. We must use Ronny AND Giggs. None of this three man up front melarky. I also hope fletch get in rather than Carick.

We'll concede first...like we always somehow manage to do away from home.

I'm going for a 2-2 draw

I would go with the same team as Liverpool with Ronaldo probably staying on the bench. SAF likes to play with his British players for the physical, passionate matches and that should allow Fletch to keep his place.

Bolton have been extremely difficult to break down (never mind the fact that they have also been very lucky !!) and the midfield has been firing on all cylinders for them. Nolan will be a big miss for them which may see Kevin Davies play more in the centre. So Evra should stay in the team.

Having said that this is probably the first real test for Bolton as they have yet to face a top team playing well. Pool and Spurs have'nt for sure.

Picking United to shade the score 0-1 with a goal from a set-piece early in the match.

I like this team alot
definitely the way to go I reckon
fletcher will give us the hardworking battling qualities whilst evra will give us greater attacking flair...

my only concern with this team is how we'll fair with the long ball?

Ronaldo will be back in the starting eleven and I hope he will maintain with his great form and lead us to another victory. I dont mind if we win 1-0, 2-0 or 6-0 just as long as we win it.
