If you base things off the World Cup, then there are times when world class players are shit and average players end up getting moves to clubs they shouldn't.
Club performances are the only thing that matters. Pique struggled on a more than a few occasions with high balls while playing at United. He cost the club points in 07-08 when failing to deal with a high ball, think it was Bolton away when he allowed Anelka to score.
