Brendan Rodgers | Rejoins Celtic on 3 year deal

Some people really can't spot good managerial ability when it's right in front of them. He's a good manager who'll do well for Leicester. Chelsea should have brought him in for Sarri this week.

I don't think it is actually much of a surprise he jumped ship, I think most Celtic fans he would probably turn down a job like Leicester but if a bigger club came calling he would leave.
It all happened quite quickly and caught a lot of people in Scotland off guard but I think the recent contoversies about coin throwing and sectarian behaviour might just have been the little push he needed to take this job.

That’s all we need, more ridiculously whitened teeth and bullshit in the premier league.

Jokes aside, Rodgers is a good manager and actually coaches his teams to play some football. He is a welcome addition back to the league.

Makes a mockery of the SPL. Leave the country's top club in the middle of a title race for a mid table battle at Leicester.

I don't understand why he didn't finish the season with Celtic, he could've gone triple treble, 8 in a row in one of Celtic's hardest season since he took over. He could've got a place in Celtic's history book basically.

Maybe he dropped Celtic and went to Leicester because he worried that the job wouldn't be available in the summer ? Or maybe the paycheck is interesting enough to not wait ?

Or he just was so fed up with Haggis and Irn Bru that the he jumped on the first way out :D ?

It was already a mockery tbf.

What's this about?

Well this is what Dembele said on Twitter back when he was trying to move from Celtic to Lyon near the deadline. I assumed this was aimed at Rodgers and whoever is responsible for the transfers at Celtic.

Rodgers knows that the SPL is an uncompetitive tinpot league. Where’s the satisfaction in winning a treble treble? Look at the quality of players Celtic have now and they’re still running away with it. It’s not a challenge for him. Throw in that Celtic keep selling players and replacing them with loans.

Oh great the ginger gack is back at Celtic too

Told their striker he’s too good to be there a few months before picking up himself and leaving. What a guy

Chelsea player would have torn him to pieces but I suspect that will be his next move. Them or Arsenal.

Is Leicester a step up from Celtic? Mid table mediocrity. Boring. Scottish league is shit but at least they win the league and make the CL every year.

I feel Leicester have better players than Celtic and he’ll no doubt have a bigger budget and be able to attract better players to the PL. If they back him in the market with a half decent transfer kitty he could do a decent job.

The managers salary definitely is.

Not every year, they failed to make the CL proper this year. Also winning the league alone isn’t enough otherwise the Champions of Slovenia would be a step up from Leicester.

Good move for him this, big step up moving to a past Premier League winner

Not a surprise really after the top 6 and Everton, Leicester is the biggest job in the PL. Celtic is in a nothing league and is going nowhere winning treble after treble with Celtic is really worth nothing. Winning a Coca Cola cup with Leicester would be a great achievement than 3 trebles with Celtic.

I actually think he is a good fit for Leicester and could do well. They have a pretty decent squad which in my opinion has been underperforming under Puel. Easily comparable to the likes of Wolves, Watford and perhaps Everton.

I do find it interesting how everyone says he had achieved everything he could at Celtic. Domestically that is a given, but I wouldve thought that he and the fans would have loved to try to get some sort of run in the European competitions going.
