“We hope you die in your sleep Brendan Rodgers, with a bullet from the IRA”
Such a classy bunch
I’d heard we insisted he came nowApparently Leicester didn’t mind if Rodgers waited until the end of the season to sign. It was Rodgers who apparently wanted to sign now, which is why Celtic fans are starting to become angry.
Indeed, as it would involve the invention and use of a time machine. Not a surprise really after the top 6 and Everton, Leicester is the biggest job in the PL. Celtic is in a nothing league and is going nowhere winning treble after treble with Celtic is really worth nothing. Winning a Coca Cola cup with Leicester would be a great achievement than 3 trebles with Celtic.
Or just a change of sponsorIndeed, as it would involve the invention and use of a time machine.
He would never ever be considered for the Utd job. No ex Liverpool manager would be.
Your typical PL arrogance in this thread.
I'd blame Sky.
Again, this is why you ban non-champions from the CL.
On what planet did people not already know Rodgers is firmly up his own arse and only looks out for himself? I’m more amazed at the shock people have at this.
He spent an entire reign at Liverpool making a complete tit out of himself.
well this was a fun read...
7-10th and go for it in the cups, be in position to try to nick 6th when Chelsea implode every few years.
well it took us 19 years but paybacks a bitch ain't it Celtic fans
SNS said:Furious Celtic fans mistake Brendan Rodgers for effigy of Brendan Rodgers
"Think people are missing a few details here that might help them understand a bit more.
Firstly media are reporting Leicester were happy to wait until summer. Which means Rodgers pushed for a move in the middle of our season when we have a good deal more to play for this year than Leicester - when that opportunity for next year at Leicester wasn't going away.
Hardly anybody thought he was staying for 10 in a row - many thought he would go in the summer but most thought he'd see the season out for the treble-treble.
Secondly Rodgers spouted a lot of stuff about being a boyhood Celtic fan and loving the club and not seeing it as a stepping stone. He was worshipped. Then he left in one day and pretty much didn't say bye to the fans many of whom backed him strongly against the board in big tifos.
He's friends with people at Leicester and it seems he's been lined up for this and known it was a possibility. At the same time he's plugged multiple gaps within the team with 6 month loan signings who will soon go. We don't have a permanent manager now who can help look at and fix those gaps. It's felt now his mind has been away already for a while and that has lead to short term thinking.
At the same time we have Boyata, Ntcham and other key players who want to go who have at times seemed to be at odds with Brendan over perceived broken promises (see Dembele's twitter ).
Danny McGrain, a Celtic legend and member of coaching staff under Brendan, has come forward to say Brendan made up this story about them for his autobiography.
Its just emerging that he was a bit fake and it's all been coming out over the course of 48 hours while we're preparing for a big game.
I don't think anyone questions that Rodgers delivered value for Celtic it's more about being so careless in how he leaves us when he's claimed to care so deeply."
Highly doubt hes welcome at celtic park ever again.
I hope his hair falls out and his teeth stain
Been said a few times today but the irony of him calling out a young kid after Motherwell 2 days ago on his lack of "integrity" whilst he himself was in the process of * on his own fans by leaving Celtic in the lurch is as rich as it gets....shocking hypocricy and it won't be forgotten
The man is a turncoat *. 2 months and he leaves with everyones blessing as the best manager in recent history. I think his ego is that big that he expected us to be happy and grateful we were blessed with him for this long. the man can go and * himself
Mo Johnston > Brendan Rodgers
I hope Vardy bangs his Mrs
He'll "give his life to Leicester" what an absolute ratfaced piece of *, have never wanted an ex player or manager to fail as badly as him going forward utter * *.
Insight from Glen Johnson
To be honest, if I was in charge of the Leagues, I’d have attempted to combine the UK leagues in the age of High Speed Rail & Cheap flights.
The Premier League has destroyed Scottish football. It’s not PL arrogance. It’s just money.
Most runaway Championship sides would piss the SPL. Most competitive Championship sides would challenge for the league.
The Rangers relegation has shown that a 3-5 year period of adjustment would probably be acceptable for Celtic to equalise into sustainability into a UK league.
The SPL is a European irrelevance now and there’s zero chance that it ever arrests that slide.
If nothing else they could have instigated some form of protectionism in the decade passed and attempted to have a demand for X amount of Scottish players in SPL sides or match day squads.
It’s a monumental mess.
Edit : Shouldn’t need to be said, but Leicester would obliterate the SPL.
During six months in Hertfordshire a decade ago he guided a failing and relegation-threatened team to the safety of mid-table, making them not just more productive but considerably more entertaining, yet he is remembered primarily for boasting about his “loyalty” and “integrity” when dismissing links with the Reading vacancy in May 2009, only to join the Madejski Stadium club a matter of days later.
Rangers were liquidated, not relegated.
Did like none of you look at him or listen to him speak? Just look at his teeth! Of course he's fake."Think people are missing a few details here that might help them understand a bit more.

The biggest question is: Did he bring his self portrait to Leicester?
Brentan has got a self portrait? haha, Dorian Gray style? Has he aged since getting the portrait?
More Dorian Orange..
I've just read through that list, and I can't believe all 20 quotes are real. I genuinely thought SteveJ had placed a few parodies in there, but no, all genuinely quotes from Brendan Rodgers. That magic carpet quoteThing is Steve, that's exactly something you'd say when you're trying to take the piss, which further illustrates just how much of a walking parody Rodgers is. The man has a fecking portrait painting of himself in his house too.![]()
arrogance doesn't make you a good manager. always thought rodgers was overrated. would a bayern come in and offer him the job?
rodgers just cannot win in europe. his european record is abysmal. neil lennon. for example, is far better at motivating players.
edit after squarez left liverpool were fked, the way they were playing quite literally facing relegation, struggling to beat midtable swiss sides in europe, etc

I can win you the league
I bet they took everything bar the portrait. He'll be devastated if that massive portrait of himself has been nicked.
