To be fair, he didn't say all old people, just the ones that voted leaveSo..old people are complete idiots are they.
Please tell me (I am 68 by the way) am I a complete idiot because I voted to remain.
Quite frankly only a complete idiot would make such a groundless and utterly idiotic statement.
I got mine a couple of minutes ago. It was in my Junk Mail folder. No wonder, look at what you have to do to confirm.
This was captured over 1 hour ago and still no e-mail.

Don't come down on him for his grammar. You know exactly what he's saying and if you voted remain then it's not you he's being ageist aboutRead his post again and you will see that there is a comma before old people.
Just got mine 890k and countingI got mine a couple of minutes ago. It was in my Junk Mail folder.
Yes, I've made the same comment before. My late mum-in-law was 80 when the referendum was held and she voted remain. More older people may have voted leave, but certainly not all of them!So..old people are complete idiots are they.

Yes. The comma separates the statements "Only half the people are idiots" and that "Most of the idiots are old people". He's demonstrably not saying all old people are idiots....just lots of them.Read his post again and you will see that there is a comma before old people.
EDIT: Just re-read, sorry to hear about the passing of your MiLYes, I've made the same comment before. My late mum-in-law was 80 when the referendum was held and she voted remain. More older people may have voted leave, but certainly not all of them!

A petition won't make the government take action but it's certainly making opposition MPs take notice and gives them cover to attempt to force a debate on it if nothing else. This time yesterday very few people were even discussing revoking article 50 with any seriousness.

I was on your side!@Buster15 @Fingeredmouse @SqueakyWeasel
My original post was a generalisation, which I probably shouldnt have made - I apologise for that.
Of course, if you really want to get into grammar nitpicking then my original statement was:
"that it is only half of the country (probably not even that now), and mostly the old people, who are complete idiots"
Its a bit of a stretch to interpret that as meaning "all old people are complete idiots". Clearly it was referring to the demographic of the overall population that voted leave, and the fact that proportionally, older generations had a far higher Leave vote than the younger ones.
My signature will show up as from Germany … the petition is open to ALL British citizens (wherever they are in the world)![]()

On this issue, it'd always have been so. The SNP are pro-Europe and pro-business party and the conflation between Scottish seeking independence and leaving the EU to the extent where holding a remain EU opinion alongside a pro-Scottish independence position is somehow seen as contradictory has always confused me. Both issues are a bit more nuanced than being in or out of something.Who'd have thought 5 years ago during the Scottish referendum that the SNP would be practically the only united government party talking sense about remaining together![]()

Remind me, why is Labour led by an ardent Leaver at this time of crisis? They're not doing a stellar job of representing the interests of their own voters. Or at least that's how it seems to me.Yes, I've made the same comment before. My late mum-in-law was 80 when the referendum was held and she voted remain. I like it and find it somehow nice – after all the shit that was chucked at the Scots during their referendum … don't spoil it for meOn this issue, it'd always have been so. I'd love to know the thinking behind the UKIP supporters who voted remain.
Not all of them.Look at that. The old and the uneducated voted to leave. No suprise there.
Don't be stupidThey were probably old people who I am led to believe cannot read.
The "parliament won't allow No Deal" crew better think again.
Conservatives have shown time and time again they will never put country before party.

All they care about is not surrendering, religious distinction and right wing fundamentalism.Do the DUP actually want a no deal, if so why? Surely it causes chaos their end?
That's the most bizarre thing on there, everything else is no surprise. Must have been too thick to read the ballot properly.I'd love to know the thinking behind the UKIP supporters who voted remain.
