I have no sympathy for anyone who voted for this and is now getting inconvenienced. We're certainly having to deal with many new hassles and more expense and I hope it's even worse in England.

Problem for the UK, this is only the beginning, as grace periods run out, the situation will gradually get worse. Sympathy has long run out.
At least Northern Ireland should be OK as long as the DUP and Frost don't try to mess with the Protocol.
That's odd, I didn't see 'Permanent Food Shortages' written on the side of a bus in 2016.
No food to buy definitely leads to savings though! Now just invest it in the NHS and everything is back on track.

Aye, @ClaytonBlackmoorLeftPeg told me in Jan it wouldn’t happen as I claimed it clearly would, because operators like Three had free roaming in countries outside of Europe.

One of the many benefits of Brexit, shopping also doesn't take as long anymore as there's less choices to worry about.
We have finally found a way to solve obesity: stop stocking food and drink.
Very true. Just popped in to the local Lidl and was surprised that a number of items and shelves were missing or empty.
Fortunately the fresh fruit and vegetables were ok, so no excuses.
Move as much as possible and only eat when you are hungry.
That Covid Pandemic extra weight can be lost....as long as you try.

If you lack motivation, stand naked in front of the mirror and see if you are proud of what you have done to your body. Works for me.
Talking of Lidl, In Michel Barnier's book I'm reading he mentioned that 1300 trucks per day were sent by Lidl alone to the UK to their stores, sounds a lot, whether it's correct or not, I don't know but if and when the checks start on imports to the UK from the continent, imagine the chaos.
That sounds ominous. Lidl has become very popular here and is many supermarket of choice. But I am sure that the other big supermarkets will experience similar difficulties.
I doubt the UK has trained enough people to implement the checks so they probably just wont bother even when they are supposed to

By the way. What do you make of Michel Barnier.
I thought he came across very well during the Brexit negotiations; intelligent and articulate and handled himself with dignity.
Nor do I, they're not ready.
I like him, very professional, calm and won't be messed about and diplomatic. Reading his journal is quite fun with his dealings of all the people he met during the negotiations.
He's due to run for French President next year although he's a bit old and may not be my preferred choice. Johnson, Farage and Corbyn , he was definitely not impressed with.
Frost has now entered the picture in the book and don't think he's very impressed by him either.
I saw there was some fake news in the UK spread by the Daily Fail about Barnier wanting Frexit.
Either they mistranslated the French or deliberately misled people but what he was actually saying that France must learn from the mistakes of Brexit and make sure people don't feel neglected in France and be aware of all the other reasons. He is very pro-EU.
Interesting. He certainly seems very professional. It is a shame that ones age counts against them, because you tend to lose their experiences and maturity.

I'm a few years younger than you but I still feel too old to be French President, he'd be 76 by the end of his term. Although if the final two was the choice were between him and say Le Pen or other dumbo extremist I would choose him without hesitation.

That is why he gets so much coverage in the British Press, he's the 'bogyman of Brussels'. The Mail tells tales to frighten the children... and some adults as well!
The Mail probably still think he's negotiating. Barnier's done his job.

UK Government now threatening to unilaterally leave the Protocol. With the DUP threatening to leave power sharing too, this won't end well.

The Protocol they negotiated. DUP have never been interested in power sharing anyway, so no change there.
So they're trying ensure NI don' t continue to get the benefits the rest of the UK aren't getting, levelling up.
Gonna keep delaying until a competent government comes in, try’s to tackle it and then gets blamed for anything that goes wrong
