Brexited | the worst threads live the longest

Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

  • Total voters
    194
  • Poll closed .
Clear as day. I just assumed you were quite staunchly Tory and therefore pro-brexit or at least neutral on the prospect of leaving but apologies for assuming wrongly!

You do realise that you can be both Right of centre and want to remain in Europe?

ffs, you live in London, how can you not know that? Don't you remember the Waitrose march, that was only a few weeks ago.

Also, your average working class, Labour voter wants Johnny Foreigner out of the country.

I think he's been carefully positioning himself for a while. He is of course a high-profile brexiter, but can also now say he has supported the party leader as a party loyalist, he's after support from all sides of the party, and there's not many will be able to do that. I don't like him by the way, I'm just assessing his chances of being next party leader.
yup - I remember when he became the first Conservative Education minister to send his daughter to comprahensive school rather than private school - I think he is incredibly strategic in what he does - and also incredibly punch-able... I honestly dont think he could win a vote with the public but if course he only has to win over MP's and conservative members - I still think having been seen to stab boris in the back before will ultimatley be his undoing but he will slime his way int a top job with whoever does take over (though Boris might still hold a grudge I suppose)

A complete and utter clusterfeck.

Who would have guessed? ;)

What on earth gave you that idea?

Show me one post I have made where I support the idea of Brexshit? It will be an absolute fecking disaster for this country and only an imbecile would support it.

Is that clear enough? :)
Tell us how you really feel Colin

This is another infuriating argument in this farce. Supposedly if you support Labour you're pro-Eu and if you're pro-Tory you're supposedly pro-Brexit.
Absolute load of garbage.

May's taking it like a champ you have to say.

I'd be fecking crying (a good 30 minutes ago).

Can you blame me for assuming that looking at the state of so called centre right politics these days?

I'm a pro-EU conservative liberal apparently. Feck knows who I'm supposed to vote for.

It's easy when you don't answer the questions but rattle off preprepared statements.

If she actually tried to answer some of these questions she's implode

its a toss(er) up

Id almost welcome cameron running for leader again - I mean he might fek pigs but at least hes not gove hunt johnson mogg etc

Cameron will go down as the worst Prime Minister since Anthony Eden, this brexit mess was his cunning plan as for Johnson & Mogg they are like members of the cast of Blackadder.

I think the only real points to sort out are
1. Does the EU even bother with the special meeting as its clearly a waste of time
2. Does the PM cling on long enough to see her deal voted down
3. Does she stand down or is she voted down by her own MP's

After that its a new PM and whoever that is its probably hard brexit

Got on a plane from Toronto to London and the pound was at about 1.15 against the Euro.

Just landed and it’s back down to 1.13.

How is she still standing?

Even though I vote conservative I never much liked Gove. He always reminded me of the stereotypical Tory-Boy. However, having watched him a bit more closely, he has gone up in my estimation. He never complains about the roles he's given, just gets on with it. He works hard and really tries to get to the nitty-gritty of the job. He is also not afraid of radical reform. His Tory-boy image may be his undoing in terms of any ambitions of leadership he harbours but he is a very shrewd politician. He stabbed Boris in the back for a reason and not all of it was selfish. I think he knew that Bojo would definitely drive the country off a cliff. Gove is a Brexiteer, but he's not crazy.

If there is a leadership election then Gove will be well in the running in my opinion.

He is a lizard person.

Labour’s David Lammy says the deal will not get through parliament. When politics is broken, one can only put the decision back to the people, he says.

May says, when she talks to people, they tell her they just want the politicians to get on with it.
It's like a bloody parody.

If she doesn't get this deal through (or unless the UK remains) the pound will collapse a lot further.
Still haven't heard one person in parliament who is in favour of it.
Toast.

Yeah. I do feel sorry for her. She was asked to polish a turd.

She put herself in this position it's not like she didn't know where this would go. She just decided she wanted the role of prime minister.

This is a tough listen.

The sheer amount of her own friends standing up and saying 'Look, you're a good person, you're a hard worker and you've done your best, but this is no good. Your saying we take a bad deal or no deal. Give it a second vote'

There has to be a second vote.

Yep. Hard to have sympathy for someone who's in this position because of their own ambition. Although if it hadn't been her would we have ended up with Johnson? Small mercies maybe.

100%

She's ploughing threw with something she doesn't believe in to the detriment to her people. She should be ashamed of herself.

I would love there to be a second vote but I can't see it happening.
