Apologies if posted already. But what the actual feck is going on with aging Tory men and ludicrous hair? This is a new thing, right? Why is it happening?!
the one with the 2nd worst labour result in 36 years (since foot in 1983...)
you do realise thats pretty awful right... especially as that awful result came against the maybot...
So, does this mean hard brexit?
Thread!
Yes I fear that 6 months from now we will all be yearning for the hazy days of Theresa May.
Boris as PM, no deal Brexit, Farage with a seat at Cabinet and a big Tory majority in Parliament all probably await us.
So the next PM will be unelected by the people?
An unelected bureaucrat will be running the country.
An unelected bureaucrat. Fancy that.
Can someone explain to an outsider like me how it is even possible that a guy like Boris Johnson is considered a credible candidate for this job?
This should be interesting. Will Britain finally end up with a Nazi for PM, 75 years after the war?
My old man was a Thatcherite, despite her decimating the north.I was raised in a mildly Tory house so started there and have moved consistenty left since my teens.
the dawn of a new special relationshipWith Johnson we will have a numpty that matches the numpty here.
Can't see many 80 year olds from the north surfing the internet, getting outraged by Remainers .
https://www.ons.gov.uk/businessindustryandtrade/itandinternetindustry/bulletins/internetusers/20183.Generation gap narrowing in recent internet use
In 2018, almost all adults aged 16 to 34 years (99%) were recent internet users.
Since the survey began in 2011, adults aged 75 years and over have consistently been the lowest users of the internet. In 2011, 20% of adults aged 75 years and over were recent internet users, rising to 44% in 2018. However, recent internet use in the 65 to 74 age group increased from 52% in 2011 to 80% in 2018, closing the gap on younger age groups.
So there is more 65-74 year olds.
This should be interesting. Will Britain finally end up with a Nazi for PM, 75 years after the war?
I guess Neville Chamberlain says hi.
Are you talking about Bernie Sanders?A little old man who for some unknown reason is the youngsters' favourite and keeps hoping for a general election for his seventieth birthday.
Another of life's mysteries.
Are you talking about Bernie Sanders?
Amazing birthday present for me but the fact that Boris is favourite is so depressing. The public is so f*cking dumb. He’s still somehow living off his lovable buffoon persona despite being a snide cnut for years now.
You made the right decision moving, Sol.
Moving back end of this year!![]()
Country - don't think so. Commons - question is more whether there's a majority to stop it. Has been a very slight one so far, but ones that's reliant on some Tories who could easily switch.Looks like Boris is trying to woo the hard Brexiteers with talk of leaving with or without a deal. I do wonder though if Brexit party doing well in the EU election has made the hard right even cockier: is there really a majority for a hard Brexit, either in the HoC or the country in general?
