Do you think there will be a Deal or No Deal?

And yet Sunak is still spouting these barefaced lies...

"In the three years since leaving the EU, we’ve made huge strides in harnessing the freedoms unlocked by Brexit to tackle generational challenges. Whether leading Europe’s fastest vaccine rollout, striking trade deals with over 70 countries or taking back control of our borders, we’ve forged a path as an independent nation with confidence.

And in my first 100 days as prime minister, that momentum hasn’t slowed – we’re cutting red tape for businesses, levelling up through our freeports, and designing our own, fairer farming system to protect the British countryside.

This is just the beginning of our plans to deliver on our five priorities, including growing the economy so we can create better paid jobs, and I’m determined to ensure the benefits of Brexit continue to empower communities and businesses right across the country."
I wonder if they believe the shite that comes out of their mouths? How can you possibly sleep at night knowing you’re lying to an entire country?

Water company execs can now get bigger bonuses due to cost savings from sewage treatment as we can now pump that into our beaches instead.

Similarly, Britta filter sales will be up as I sure as feck won't be drinking direct from the tap without the EU giving me a modicum of hope it's still safe. I'm sure similar non-fecking-eejits who have some brain cells to rub together will be thinking the same.

Heres another benefit for you mate

Surely it's a matter of time until the negative impacts of Brexit are so pronounced it can't be ignored. At which point, could criminal proceedings ever be brought against those who purposely misled the public?

The negative impacts of Brexit were clear and obvious 7 years ago. All this time later they still believe the nonsense. They will never admit they were wrong no matter what happens.

Yeah but we can now cut tax on lawnmowers. That's surely going offset the £100 billion loss.

It should be a criminal offence for MPs to lie about anything policy related and it's a bit ridiculous that they can mislead with no consequence.

For that to work we'd have to learn that it's fine for an MP to say "I'd have to check on that" if asked about something they don't know the facts for though.

Its funny how they left out Ireland whos forecast is outstripping everyones

When it comes to this they generally focus on G8 members. Otherwise the graph would be very different, many smaller economies have higher growth.

There's no G8 anymore, they kicked Russia out so down to 7

Didn't the EU effectively sanction you as well!

The UK sanctioned itself.

Strangely enough, all the paperwork they're moaning about now, they also have to complete for trading with all the other nations in the world. More so with many. The advantage of being in a Customs Union or the same trading block with common rules. Oh well. They didn't listen.

7 years ago was based on forecasts and predictions which were batted away by the right as “doom mongering”. They can’t do the same so easily with actual data and reality.

So far they’ve been riding the opportunities that Covid and Ukraine have brought from a blame perspective, but that’s not going to wash for much longer when we’re comparatively coping far worse as a country than others.

They'll try don't worry!

In fairness it is fecking mental that it should make sense to import basic goods like fruit, veg and meat from half way round the world when it can be grown in Europe perfectly well.

Don’t want no European muck either. We want oven ready sovereign chickens!

Is there a single positive so far from Brexit? It has to be the most stupid act of Democratic self-harm a developed country has made in recent years. Absolutely insane it was allowed to happen. If ever there is a case for utterly disregarding a referendum, it's this.
And the most laughable thing is it’s the most ‘patriotic’ that voted for it

Simon said: "I was just a little bit gutted to be fair because there's all this sort of strapline about the fresh meat being only from the UK and obviously there's total traceability there. I mean just to pick up this thing [the chicken tikka pakoras] and I just noticed at home. It was a proper letdown. Really big letdown."

Simon said he did not eat the Pakkoras because the chicken was from Thailand rather than British meat.

Fast forward five years...

Simon was a tad miffed when he tucked into his jumbo sausage roll: "I knew something was up cos my gums weren't bleeding from little specks of machine metal, and the meat didn't have it's usual sulphur taste. It became clear pretty quickly that it was actual meat in the pastry and not the proper British delight I had expected. I got really angry, but calmed down when my phone wouldn't work and I realised I was still in good ol' England. The toxic fumes from my faulty boiler, that no longer needs EU enforced yearly maintenance, relaxed me further."
