Bundesliga 13/14

This Hermann guy looks awful tonight. And Xhaka is struggling to pass a football and gave away the penalty. I'd say its a wasted night if we're scouting any Borussia players other than Kramer or Kruse who have had their moments

Herrmann isn't bad but Bayern made much better players look awfully average, it's what happens if you don't see much of the ball and the few situations you have you're usually under a lot of pressure. Non the less I don't feel he is a player we should go for as I don't rate him as a bad player but he also nothing special really.

Shame about Xhaka, if this were a boxing match you'd think he was paid to take a dive. Perhaps the quality of the opponents in midfield got to his head.

Bayern look very good despite not fielding their best XI and wasting Shaqiri on the left. They will be tough to beat although predictably they are vulnerable on the counter. And Hoeness is a smug prick however, his comments at the half were the kind of smack you'd expect from RM

Ter Stegen looks very promising

Ter Stegen is great even though his last season wasn't all that good, but these things happen to younger keepers, they have those season and I hope you guys don't instantly drop him if he makes a mistake. He has a lot of potential but I guess it will take a few more years until we really see the best of him.

How's he wasted there? I'd say it's the position where he played best for Bayern so far.

He isn't going to be able to cut in from there and get a shot off with his favored left foot which is why he traditionally plays on the right

Yes, but he has more to his game and usually rotates often enough in the middle, so that it isn't really a problem. He rarely plays on the right for Bayern, not sure I remember him ever starting there. Don't think he's wasted on the left though, not at all.

So yeah Hermann looked a bit headless out there aside from one nice shot he was unlucky to hit the post with. A few mins later he had an extremely good chance in the Bayern box and skewed his shot in pretty awful fashion. Really didn't look like a player who has the tools to make it here

Let's face it the only team in Germany that can really bring Bayern to the edge of losing or at least not winning is Dortmund, at least if they are not missing their entire back four.

In a single game? Yes. For the title? Not even close. There are hardly any superlatives left to describe Bayern´s dominance in the Bundesliga. In the last season and the current one they completely translated their financial standing as German juggernaut onto the pitch. They can only beat themselves in the forseeable future. If they don´t make drastic mistakes, the outcome of the title race will be nothing more than a logical consequense from the very start.

The first 30minutes were truely impressive, somehow we still struggle to keep it up for 90minutes, something we could in the important games last season with ease. Hopefully that's just a bit of lazyness because we win so many games and in the crucial moments the team keeps the pace up.

So how good is Milan Badelj? He seems to be having another good season like last season. He's clearly a good ball winner but surprisingly has a bit of ability on the ball. Is it right to think he can be another dynamic defensive player who can also attack like Vidal, but without the end product in the final third obviously? Or is he a bit more limited than he seems?

Herrmann has played 17 games for Monchengladbach this season.......but he has played only once the full match

The german commentator has said "His fitness isn't good enough for 90 minutes of football"

Badelj?.......His level is Hamburg

The Bender bros just scored a minute apart from each other. Lars after 4' against Augsburg, Sven after 5' against Freiburg.

He always gets mentioned because he is a FM legend. He hasn't convinced me for Hamburg so far and I don't think he is anything special tbh. just another run of the mill midfielder.

Poor Dortmund another injured player. Sometimes I think they are maybe paying the price for their fast and intensive playing style.

The scene had nothing to do with our playstyle, though. Just as much as any other injury in this season bar potentially Schmelzer´s in the end of the year.

That's not what I meant. It's just generally that Dortmund's play style is very demanding in a physical way of your players. On top of that you don't have the squad to rotate as much as Bayern for example so players are bound to get tired sooner or later which also increases the risk of injuries. On top of that some of your players, mainly Bender seem to lack any sense of self preservation and while I admire their courage and commitment it of course bears an increased risk of injures.

But on the other hand if you wouldn't play that way Dortmund would only be half as entertaining to watch.

We also would only be half as successful. Workrate and passion were always key parts of our play in the era Klopp.

Kuba appearantly with a cruciate rupture. Probably out for the rest of the season....

This season has been nothing but a bad joke for us in terms of injurees. Possible, that we become active on the market in the winter now.

Shit.

Dortmund have been unlucky like hell with injuries this season.

Really shit day for BVB today, Kuba out untill rest of the season it seems, Bender scores both ways, their loanee scores against them and makes them drop points. Only positive from today is Leverkusen and Gladbach's score.

Wolfsburg has lost as well, that's just as important for Dortmund and Schalke can get really close to the CL places with a win tomorrow.

In some strange way Dortmund is probably still a winner of this matchday.

I'm not sure if they are going to sign another midfielder. Even before Kuba's injury I thought that they should add someone with great technique, who can create some spaces when the opposition sits deep. However Klopp does not seem to see it that way and in theory Piszczek's return would free up Großkreutz for a midfield position and Hofmann should've gotten more playtime anyway.

Hamburg is just unbelievable shit. Huntelaar scores in his first game after being out for more than months.

Schalke - Hamburg 1-0 now after 35 minutes
