Bundesliga 13/14

Bayern played so much faster with Thiago instead of Kroos, it's unbelievable.

6:1, Mandzukic. Assist Müller. Holy shit!

Mandzukic makes it six. Wonderful, wonderful ball from Mueller. :(

Julian Brandt getting on the pitch again for Leverkusen. Impressive for a 17 year old.

Brandt, Werner and Meyer are all 17 and great talents all. Seems like the flood of talented German attacking midfielders isn't going to stop anytime soon. We seriously need to hijack one of these guys.

Oh 1-6 for Bayern now. Incredible how easy it is for them to score now. Wolfsburg look dead on their feet atm.

If Hamburg manage a last minute winner, they'll be out of the relegation zone. While Freiburg who play Dortmund tomorrow also have a chance of getting out of the relegation zone. Terrible goal for Stuttgart.

Hoffenheim is officially the new Werder Bremen. Completely unpredictable, 6:2 one week, 0:4 the other.

1 more record for Bayern: 16 wins in a row in the Bundesliga.
They also equalized Arsenals run of matches without a loss.

They played the 4-2-3-1 in that rushing moments - Ribery-Müller-Robben behind striker - still the best recipe...

I believe it was also the 16th consecutive game with at least two scored goals.

Tempted to watch the Nurnberg game. Last of their home games I watched was crazy and Drmic looked a great little player.

Drmic is just great and the funny thing is, Nürnberg's Director of Football had to fight considerable resistance in the board room to spend 'so much money' (€ 2.2m) on a kid from the '3rd rate Swiss league'. Now they could probably sell him for 4-5 times the amount.

It was. 1:1 against Leverkusen was the last time we didn't score at least twice (and it still baffles me that Leverkusen managed a draw. Should've been 5:1 at least).

Scored a brace for Switzerland as well in his 2nd senior appearance. I rate him a fair bit Drmic, he's a proper handful.

The other player who surprised me the most is André Hahn of FC Augsburg. He played 3rd division football until 14 months ago! I hope he extends his contract at Augsburg because it would be a huge pity for the club to lose him on his € 2.5m exit clause. He's worth at least € 10m but I fear Augsburg will be torn apart in July & August just like Freiburg last summer.

Hahn is set to join Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer.

Hopefully Augsburg won't do a Freiburg and suffer a similar fate, shiuld they qualify for Europe. I doubt it though given their tough run in.

Isn't Hermann playing on Hahn's position?

5 goals in 20 minutes, utterly ridiculous.

4 goals in 30 against Schalke.

They're just too good.

While Arango will leave Mönchengladbach in the summer, Hahn will come in. Both (Hahn & Hermann) are capable of playing on either side on the wing.

Herrmann played quite a lot at LAM and CAM last season.

The same is true for Real . We had this conversation before, a CL final Bayern - Real would be brilliant.
Finals tend to be anticlimatic, usually. I want FCB to beat Real in a two legged game, fair and square, no luck, no excuses, give them the home match in the second leg and let them bring their own referee. Still wouldn't help them this year.

Draxler looked like he had a good game against Hoffenheim, lovely skill and run for the 4th goal.

I don't know how big the media coverage is outside of Germany, but the Hoeneß affair is getting bigger and bigger as his trial progresses.
Iirc it was intially reported that his tax debt was around €3.5m. Then at the first trial day Hoeneß himself dropped a bomb when he admitted to owing €18.5m in taxes in an attempt to get everything out in the open. However now the current estimate is €26.2m and that number might not even be final since he submitted ~70'000 pages of financial documents only a week before the trial started and the authorities are still working through that.

I don't see any indication of that happening. With Leitner and maybe Bittencourt the club has one or two talented players for his position loaned out, Hofmann has shown promising signs but still struggles to get playtime and if that wasn't enough they just bought Jojic.
Next season they probably will have at least 3 players that come before him for the offensive minded CM position (Sahin, Jojic and Gündogan/his replacement) and I think they brought in a japanese CM talent too (this winter).
