Bundesliga 13/14

Klopp will be fecking furious with his team. To lose a game this way is disgusting. It's unreal how ineffective they have been.

2-0.

Game over.

These feckers didnt even deserve a draw.

And they are getting a win.

Football is shit sometimes.

Lost all respect I had for Gladbach today. They want to play internationally, but do nothing but defend with every fecking player the whole game at home. Disgraceful, just disgraceful.

Dortmund squad is very thin specially when you compare it to their main rivals Bayern.

Thats true but Dortmund are also to blame for failing to score against the worst defence in the bundesliga.

But i agree negative football won today.

Stuttgart absolutely dominated Bremen who were time wasting the whole half. Might have had a pen when Harnik looked like he was tripped in the box. That's my bet humped already.

Brilliant, just brilliant. Gladbach won (I actually like that team), Dortmund lost, Wolfsburg lost at home to Braunschweig . Hoffenheim fecks up in the end. I really dislike Augsburg and Schalke, so I don't care, but great that Meyer scored .

Now, come on, an away win to Leverkusen and we're in a great position in the league.

It would take a major feck for Bayern not to win the title with the squad they have.

I think they will win it by more than 10 points.

Unfortunately.

Stop being a cnut, Balu. I want to see you after Bayern would lose such a game. Gräfe gave us once again nothing today. The challenge of Stranzl had to be a red card. Not only would Reus be through (same situation as with Hummels), but he went in with two stretched legs, which could have injured Reus for months.

Of course I know, that we are also to blame for our own stupidity.

We are plagued with injuries at the moment. Imagine playing without Evra, Raffael, Carrick, Cleverly and Evans. And of course our squad is thinner than Bayern. Their wage roll still doubles ours. They would have to make a horrible job to not have more depth.

No way was that a red for the foul on Reus. There was at least one man covering if not two.

If we win tody, I think we really could walk the league again. We had tough first 8 fixtures compared to Dortmund and we really shouldn't be 1st after today, especially not with all the changes Guardiola made. After our away wins at Schalke and City, I really start to believe we can play a similar season to last year, which I really didn't expect. If we do, then, yeah, there's no chance that Dortmund will catch us. I don't mind so, we haven't retained the title since 2006, about time.

Wasn't really meant as a dig, I know very well how you feel. I just think it's funny that you're a surprised that teams like Gladbach did nothing but defend against you. They did the same against Bayern for years, fluked two wins two years ago and were praised for their great fighting spirit and individual brilliance.

Leverkusen:
Leno - Donati, Toprak, Spahic, Boenisch - Reinartz, Bender, Rolfes - Sam, Kießling, Can

@Sphaero - have you ever seen a more defensive Leverkusen line-up in the last 2 years?

Bayern:
Neuer - Alaba, Dante, Boateng, Rafinha - Lahm - Ribéry, Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Shaqiri - Müller

Does anyone know who this brunette german girl is who is doing the english interviews for the german skysport or whatever it is. She's on eurosport2 on my channel.

If Lahm continues to play that brilliantly in CM, we might need another rightback. He's incredible, really.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think we already are a better team than we were last season. 1-0 Kroos.

/edit 60seconds later:
Oops, 1-1 Sam. How did that happen.

I can't believe Lahm is also a quality DM too.

Balu, I haven't watched any Bayern games this season... When and how did he become a midfielder?

He played that role a few times in pre-season. Pep was playing anyone out of position to see how they understand the game, how they react to other roles, not sure if it was just a test to see how he could influence the game in possession when starting as a fullback or if he already had the idea of playing him there. When Martinez, Schweinsteiger, Thiago, Kirchhoff and Hoijberg were all out with injuries, we ran out of midfielders. Götze was also out, so Kroos had to play as a CAM. Lahm had to come in at Freiburg, when Schweinsteiger went off injured, if I remember correctly, then started in the supercup against Chelsea the first time in midfield in a competitive game.

Pep said recently in an interview that he will go back to rightback when Thiago or Martinez are back with the team, though.

Guardiola is a fecking genius mind, didn't he also play Mandzukic in some silly position like right back? This sort of method for getting to know your players is unheard of yet brilliant.

Yeah, I really don't understand how anyone can doubt that he's a brilliant manager. The confidence of every single player is crazy and his understanding of the game is outstanding. At times it looked like perfect total football, but not with the focus on a single player, with every single player being equally important and everyone is allowed to take risks. Last game, Rafinha went forward and tried to get past a player. When he lost the ball, Robben instantly started running backwards and chased after the ball, no moaning at all. It's amazing to watch. Everyone takes over for the next player and everyone understands each others role, so he's perfectly capable of filling in, if necessary.

I have no clue how Leverkusen is still in the game, let alone is drawing. We should have scored 5 or 6 goals.

/edit:
make that at least 8, that we should have scored :(

Welcome to the club, bro.

I admittely have not seen the first 60 minutes of the game, but according to everyone I spoke to Bayern was clearly superior.

I´ll just quote myself

Football can be such a bitch...

See it from the bright side: You at least got a point and are deservingly on the top of the table. One point is not much, though.

Can't believe we didn't win. Brilliant game. Both teams looked tired in the last 10minutes, which isn't surprising after the CL games 3 days ago. 6 wins, 2 draws, only 3 goals conceded after 8 games and we already played Schalke and Leverkusen away, great start to the season.

Lahm being a good centre mid is not surprising giving the qualities you need to play fullback or centre mid overlap to a large extent which is why the likes of Breitner, Junior etc. excelled in both positions, it's not some work of a magician. Though he's clearly got the touch for giving a great team that extra something special.

True. And both our fullbacks have played in central midfield throughout their youth and played that role a few times for club and country as well. Still, I'm surprised how brilliant he is in that position. I didn't expect that he can play it on such a high level consistently against very good teams.

I will ask again to see if anyone detects my question and happens to know who the brunette female reporter on eurosport 2 is. She's gorgeous but I am the only one who seem to think so. Not a sign of her on google.

I'm sorry, I've really no idea who you're talking about. I'll look out for her and if there are any interviews in English with foreign managers or players before or after the next CL matches, I'll let you know.

Melanie Winiger perhaps? Haven't seen Eurosport 2 but I _think_ you could be talking about her.

Just read your previous post:

Please do. She's in charge of the english interviews. She's got a german accent so it's obvious she's german. I think she's presenting the show. Today she was doing the job with some acne scare face.

It's not Esther nor Melanie. She is quite similar though. The woman I'm looking for has very thin lips.

Do you think we should have offered Heynckes a 2 deal and tasked him with making us the best side in Europe? Tough ask obviously.
