Bundesliga 2015/2016

Imagine if Poldi then goes on to become Bayern coach. Or coach of any BuLi team.. Loddar :(

Klose will break it first anyway.. when he returns for the Euros.

Darmstadt XI
Mathenia - Garics, Sulu, Caldirola, Junior Diaz - Niemeyer, Gondorf - Heller, Rausch - Rosenthal - Wagner

Mainz XI
Karius - Brosinski, Bungert, Bell, Jara - Baumgartlinger, Latza - Jairo, Malli, De Blasis - Muto

Starts in 20 minutes. One for the connoisseurs of beautiful football

Malli is so good this season

Great goal, makes it 2-0

Not our game so far, way too passive. That stamp from Gondorf was also pretty ugly and imo he couldn't have complained if he got a red for that.
Don't think it was that bad. But yeah, you did feck all until Heller pulled that shot out of the bag.

finally they (Mainz) let Copa America winner defender Gonzalo Jara play. And surprise... they are winning!

hopefully he wont need to apply the "finger of god" today. =)

Much better game than I expected it to be. Not good for my nerves though. Good luck for the rest of the season, hope you stay up. @NoLogo

Weird stuff in the Gladbach:Wolfsburg game. Ref gave a pen then after some general confusion took it back. Literally a 50/50 situation imho, because there was contact but Schürrle seemed to want to go down.

Volland what a goal. Brilliant chip. Great form at the moment.

I actually don't even liek Stuttgart, but I really feel sorry for them this season. At least Gladbach is ahead.

Nothing happening all afternoon and now a deluge of goals.

Bremen is such a typical Bundesliga team. From looking like a serious relegation candidate during the first half of last season to a team that was two goals away from making it into the EL in the second half of last season to a team that is now looking like a relegation candidate again

The Dortmund-Bayern game is going to be good. I am particularily curious about Dortmund's shooting star Julian Weigl. Remember his name, he's going to be Germany's next great player. 19 years and in my view already a defensive midfielder who would easily make it into the starting line up of many of Europe's best clubs. They call him the new Busquets. Exactly the type of player I love - smart, mobile, physical, fast, technical. Deserves his own thread on Redcafe.

Yeah.. Weigl came pretty much out of nowhere (didn't Pep say he didn't really know the kid before he moved to Dortmund?), but he hit the ground running and already seems like one of Dortmund's most important players (probably even the most important player for their structure - at least as long as Sahin is still out). But you know, it's only been a couple of months for him, so I'd rather wait a bit more to see if he can keep this up consistently before I get the hype started.

Isn't that true for almost everyone? Weigl played one season for 1860's first team before he moved to Dortmund. That's it. Hardly an impressive career up until this summer.

Gladbach 2:0 Wolfsburg
Hannover 1:0 Bremen
Hertha 3:0 Hamburg
Hoffenheim 2:2 Stuttgart
Ingolstadt 2:0 Frankfurt

no match at 18:30

Ingolstadt continues to collect points. For Stuttgart one point isn´t really enough. Gladbach looking good again. Almost half of the league could be involved in a battle against relegation.

Maybe I shouldn't have criticised Favre for the way he stepped down. 5 games 5 losses with him in charge, 3 games 3 wins since. Favre knows best.

That was kind of my point: even top notch professionals like Bayern with their scouting didn't seem to notice him.

Oh yeah. Definitely true. He went under the radar.

Can't say I noticed him the few times I watched 1860 or the u20 nationalteam with him playing. Doesn't mean a lot of course, but usually if someone is that talented, you notice him.
