442: Lee T. (Zieler), Simpson, Cathcart (Marsh), Bardsley, Eckersley A., Neumayr (Hewson), Fox, Gibson, Martin, Cooper (Campbell), Rossi (Gray).

---------------Howard-------------

Bardsley----Wes------Vidic/Mickey-------OShea

Ole---------Smith---- Richardson-----Park

-------------Saha-----Rossi-------------

Did I read that Vidic wouldn't be playing on Sunday? I think Fergie mentioned something like that, but when do we believe that sort of talk??

If Vidic does play, then it depends on who's available in for the midfield. I can see Fergie playing Ole in the centre to get the extra match fitness, but his partner could be one of 3 or 4 players to be honest. Any of Richardson, Smith, Scholes or JOS could partner Ole. I suspect that Smith or Scholes will if either of them are fit, and if both are fit then one may be on the bench.

Till the team is announced we won't know will we. Pique wasn't in any of the squad releases for Tuesday, but ended up on the bench. So anything can happen I guess.

Scholes not risked in cup

Paul Scholes has been ruled out of Manchester United's FA Cup tie at Burton Albion on Sunday after failing to fully recover from a head injury.

Scholes is still suffering slightly blurred vision following the knock sustained at Birmingham on 28 December so Sir Alex Ferguson has decided not to risk the former England international against the non-leaguers.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to start his first game since May 2004 and could be joined up front by Louis Saha in a much-changed line-up to the one that drew at Arsenal on Tuesday.

Alan Smith is back after a recent chest infection but there is no place for new signing Nemanja Vidic, who has been restricted to endurance work as he builds up his fitness following his recent arrival from Spartak Moscow.

Ole will partner Saha upfront I think.

Scholes Misses Out, But Smith Is Back

Paul Scholes is still suffering from blurred vision and will sit out United's FA Cup trip to Burton Albion on Sunday, but Alan Smith is fit to play.

Scholes has not featured since sustaining a blow to the head in the 2-2 draw at Birmingham nine days ago.

Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the 31-year-old is still feeling the affects of concussion and will not be considered for the third round clash, however, Smith has recovered from a chest infection and is available for selection.

"Scholesy is still suffering a bit from concussion and blurred vision," Fergie told ManUtd.com.

"It hasn't eased up so he won't be risked on Sunday and it's difficult to say when he'll be fit to play again.

"He's certainly a lot better than he was but it's a matter of letting it ease away.

"Smith is fit and he'll play," added the United manager. "The rest of the squad are all fit but I'll be making changes.

"It'll be a strong side; the likes of Saha, Solskjaer, Park, Ronaldo, Brown, Bardsley, Silvestre and Howard will all play.

"It's not a matter of taking risks, it's about using your squad because four games in eight days has taken its toll on every squad in the country. The freshness will help us."

Ole will surely start.

I would love to have FA Cup game on telly in my country, even on PPV. Unfortunately they show only quarterfinals, semifinals and the final.

It's a Conference side, after last year's flop against Exeter we are more experienced in playing against that sort of teams. Fergie is probably going to put a strong team to avoid replay, there is no need to worry. I guess Burton are going to fight for a draw, but once we score the first goal in the game, everything should be just fine.

Won't really matter if we get a replay. We are not involved in Europe and we're not going to win the league. But it won't come to that.
