Believe me, Van Gaal's management frustates me and I cant wait for it to be over too, but not this way.
We shouldnt be making such a big decision based on emotion, but rather should rationally think it out. A lot of us are simply thinking 'surely Giggs can't be any worse, why not' . He might turn out not be as bad as Van Gaal, but that shouldnt be the determing factor. Rather, the most important factor should be whether he's good enough to take us where we need to be. On the back of no experience whatsover, can he get us back to a seat in Europe's highest table? That should be the goal, always with United. I dont want us in another situation like we've seen with Moyes and LVG of constant excuses and expectation lowering. We cant be stuck perpetually in transition, we need to act.
I'd rather take a more extreme position. Bring in a caretaker if Van Gaal cant steady the ship, and then during that time, have a proper search for our next manager, making sure that we have clear objectives , and that our 'philosophies' actually align. For me, our next manager will be one of the most important in our recent history
