Cavani's missed chances vs Metz & let's talk about di maria too

Ive seen enough of him to know that he is a higher quality player than Troy Deeney (plus his record proves it). He is a good striker but yes he can be wasteful and is not in the top tier bracket of strikers, still good enough for the likes of PSG though.
I agree he's a better player than Deeney, he's still not top bracket (which he's sometimes rated as). And I doubt most people are rating or judging him just off the back of this game.

Sounds like a lot of you are too young to remember Andy Cole! now that lad could miss some chances - still helped us to win the CL.
Current Cavani is that fine line between Andy Cole and Danny Welback.

This is a myth, peddled by Glenn Hoddle to justify how he kept ignoring a prolific striker.

Cole had a couple of difficult seasons for us after signing. After that he was very consistent in front of goal.

I would take Andy Cole over Edinson Cavani any day of the week. Also, after he found his feet at United, Andy Cole rarely bottled it in the big games.

The thing is, he gets into goal scoring positions regularly and has a really creative team behind him. He'll have a purple patch soon enough and end the season with around 30 goals.

I rest my case.

Clip reminds me of Fellaini's attempts which are aimed at the keeper every single time.

PSG looked bad today.

Lucas + Aurier were really bad. Aurier has an excuse because of his ankle injury, but Lucas was terrible. Aurier did make a silly foul for the pk and red card, which pretty much cost them the game though....

Emery needs to find out the right balance for his team. Right now, he is experimenting too much and isn't putting out the best and most balanced 11.

GK (Both aren't great)

Aurier-Marquinhos-Silva-Kurzawa

Kop

verratti-ADM

Lucas-Cavani-Jese

Matudi is good, however, ADM as a CM would fit better with the team and allow jese the starting role on the left side. PSG need to sell Pastore back to Italy and use raibot as a backup b2b CM.

I really like Cavani, if he could get his finishing togethwr he'd be one of the best strikers in the world. I dont know one player bar Ronaldo who makes such good runs, his pace, strength and agility gets him into great positions. Only his finishing keeps him away from being a 30goal striker at minimum. Strange considering he was deadly at Napoli. I hope Rashford can develop into a similar striker.

The Cavani we saw at Napoli is a different Cavani than the one at PSG right now. It happens. A new environment might be good for Cavani but I guess PSG pays too good.

He wastes so many chances despite being fed by a class midfield behind and beside him. But, his movement is really good. That leap for the 2nd chance in that video was perfect. Too perfect indeed. He looks like one of those forwards who always have a knack of being at the right position at the right time.

But good goals in the Bordeaux game. Hopefully, it gives him more confidence

On 11 goals already. Is there a striker with more goals so far? Aguero is on 11 too.

His movement is as good as anyone's, maybe even the best in the world. When he is on form he is lethal but generally he needs too much chances to score.

Do PSG fans like him? His record for them is great but then you look at his misses and his shocking performances in big games.

Cavani & Matuidi are the most controversial players amongst PSG fans over the Internet.

There is a consensus to say he isn't very reliable but is the only one decent scorer in the team.

No choice but to hope he will be good on the European scene.

Cavani is currently on 47 goals in all club competitions...

Welbeck wasn't clinical but I found he was much better on instinct too.
