What a feck up. Hope they find it.
I'm not sure who Max Landis is but it appears he's quite the scumbag.
I keep reading it as Canadian sensation Bryan AdamsI'm seeing 'A Star is Born' in a totally new light after reading that.
The thing is though, imagine if a career in entertainment is your passion. It's genuinely all you want and love and enjoy doing.Perverted old men and young girls willing to give anything to get rich and famous. What could go wrong.
Call me old fashioned but if I'm a young girl and some sleazy director asks me up to his bedroom to go over lines or whatever. I know I'm not going up there to read lines.
Don't get me wrong. This is an abuse of power. However what the feck were these girls thinking?
I'm not putting the blame on the girls but they surely knew what was expected of them.
Maybe I am too a degree. They put their career and millions of dollars above their principals. Maybe their parents told them to do it that way.
I'm agreeing with you. Maybe I said it wrong. The thing is though, imagine if a career in entertainment is your passion. It's genuinely all you want and love and enjoy doing.
Should a young girl give up on all that? Some will choose to grind it out and do these "little favors" here and there, but they never should have been in that dilemma in the first place. No girl should be expected to do these things to get a career.
And it's tough to walk away from your passion if you've given up other career roads.
What a feck up. Hope they find it.
I think it's the same person but the previous case was a civil one.Isn’t this the 2nd case dropped against him? Or is this the same one?

What does everyone make of all this?
Is he on the hook for any other allegations or was it just this one?

Don Lemon too recently.
Dangerous territory when you start blaming victims for their part in sexual assaults. Its controversial but of course these girls take some blame. The problem is blame is not the right view and if you're under 18 your mind is not even mature enough to make rationale decisions.
For girls who are adults it depends. But it's a bit like saying your fault for being rich when you get mugged.

That said, I watched the R Kelly doc over the weekend and the number of parents who were allowing their teenage daughters to spend time with the guy, even after the infamous 'piss tape' and marriage to Aaliyah was frankly staggering.
I wouldn't let my daughter within 100 miles of that cnut.

No doubt egged on by their lawyers.Disappointing that a number of Weinstein's victims are settling out of court.

He had sexual misconduct costs written into his contract at Weinstein company whereby he had a sliding scale of penalty payments for any sexual misconduct accusations made against him. Actual lawyers wrote up that contract and then try and defend him in court...ShamefulSo he wouldn't even be paying a penny or accepting culpability? Damn.

Has there ever been a story where a defender lawyer’s loved one becomes a victim of a crime they once defended?
There is nothing wrong with being a defense lawyer. Yes, even for scumbags. Scumbags have rights too (and deserve to have their presumption of innocence defended unless evidence suggests otherwise beyond a reasonable doubt)
