Celebrity Allegations, #MeToo etc

Is there anyone not involved in Hollywood? Victims, abusers and people who must have known about it for years and kept quiet, letting it happen to more people.

And you dont think they had planned to end it after season 6? All they are doing is taking a proactive approach and using it as publicity for themselves and yuppy idiots lap it up. If they were really "deeply troubled", they would not screen season 6 at all.

Being accused of being a Pedo is probably the worst label you can have. Some neutrality needs to be shown before throwing down the hammer and kicking innocent until proven guilty out the window

If he is a Pedo, chances are he would have viewed illegal content online and it will be upto the Police to obtain information from ISPs and making basis for a case to back up the victims claims, with solid facts
Until then you cant goes around making such sweeping statements about someone, on the back of a 30 year old accusation very thin on details. Well you can... but thats what the anonymity shield of social media gives..

They have suspended production on S6 and given more allegations coming out, it may never resume or they would kill off Spacey’s character in a hacky way

From what I can gather from the article, Harrington was right with his initial statement. Gender stereotyping applies to women and men, and that whole cultural system can only work this way. Every credible type of feminism acknowledges that, is aiming to free everyone of that misery, while also insisting that it's usually men who get the better (often enough: much better) deal in a patriarchal culture.

The article's author manages the feat of simultaneously getting a lot of things right and still catering to anti-PC resentment, thus deserving the shitshow in the comment section.

Well it is Daily Wire. I agree with the general sentiment though, Harrington was totally correct in his initial remarks and shouldn't have apologised.

Judging people based on looks is just part of human nature and i don't think all the activism in the world will ever change that, especially in the entertainment industry where good looks is almost a prerequisite. It's a doubled edged sword, yes people will objectify you, but at the same time you get showered with praise, admiration and money because of your good looks, so i don't really feel sorry for you Kit

Yup, but the show was due to finish after the next season regardless, well before the Spacey stories came about. But the internet has latched onto it being cancelled because of Spacey

I have no desire to defend Steven Seagal, but that story basically says she was asked to go over at 10, she reached at 10:40. The casting director wasnt there (never came or left by 10:40?) and she saw a gun which freaked her out and she left. Nothing about what Seagal said or did.
 
Seems to be a weird conflation between genuine sexual harassment and moralising over any kind of non-traditional sexual relationship. By which I mean two unmarried MPs having an affair or a homosexual MP tying it on with someone else he presumably thought was homosexual too, or an MP having legal porn on his computer.

Wary of the genuine horrific stories of sex crimes, particular at Westminster, being taken advantage of by the moralising and puritanical right wing.

He is right though, good looking men like him are subject to all kinds of shite.

But lets be honest here, hes not got that part, or many of his others because he is a good actor, its because he is good looking, because the lad cant act his way out of a paper bag.

So you cant really complain about being asked to exploit your attractiveness when you know full well its the basis of your career.

Yeah I know the fault lies with the actual abusers but some of the people now coming out are surely powerful enough in Hollywood to have survived speaking out.
 
It's strikingly curious how little President Tweet has had to say about all these revelations. One would think he'd be revelling in this, given how unpopular he is in Hollywood land. Hmm.
