But lets be honest here, hes not got that part, or many of his others because he is a good actor, its because he is good looking, because the lad cant act his way out of a paper bag.
So you cant really complain about being asked to exploit your attractiveness when you know full well its the basis of your career.
As for the rest, I don't think you have to earn the right to criticize something by suffering a lot from it. He said the industry's sexism applies to men too and that some experiences were uncomfortable for him. That's a fair statement. He didn't complain about life being harsh to him, which would indeed be ridiculous. He also didn't say the sexism he experienced was identical to the sexism against female actors, which is what he was apparently accused of. (Again, I'm judging only by what was quoted in the article.)
The whole hyperbole in that article ("victim", "plight", "suffering", "pain") originates from the author's jargon for populist reasons, which I criticized in the last sentence of my post.
