there is a slight silverlining here, we always win the game (at least well after copenhagen and southend) following our MIDWEEK debacles so we are bound to win on sunday ;)

Plus finishing nr. 2 in the group wouldn´t be that bad i think both Barca and Real are nr. 2 in their groups so we wouldn´t be able to meet those two well unless the Benfica curse strikes again.
 
We only need a draw against Benfica to progress.

If we can't get that result at home, then we don't deserve to be in the knockout round.

This in not Saha's fault. This result was simply Fergie's fault. This is what you get when you are playing with the same eleven for 85 minutes. What did Strachan do, when he felt that his team was not performing he put not only one but two new players.

He has a point about the team for the Copenahgen game. His arrogance in resting players for a big CL tie might have backfired on him.

We were playing well and there was no need to bring on anyone from the bench.

It was a bad call for the free kick and Celtic took the chance. That's the difference for the match.

United lacked the finishing and final touch today and paid for it. End of.
 
We can talk all night about penalties.It wasn't the best penalty he's taken but thats football.Dominated from start to finish but just lacked that killer goal.Not a good performance but Celtic made it hard for us to penetrate their defence.Noones to blame for it.

We just need to do it at OT now.
 
We were the better team...
They had a fluke win...
Anyway hope they advance and we meet them again in later stages.....
That would be the easiest draw...
They ain't that good...

Dunno what you cnuts thought, but Saha was poor overall and Giggs seemed to lack a lot of sharpness. Other than that, we were pretty much faultless - those two perform better and we've nailed this game by half time.

Maybe Evra would have provided more than Heinze did in attack, but he could have let them in aerially, so its 6 of one etc.
 
Could see it coming as the game wore on. We just wasn't ruthless enough when we were dominating the game and decided to settle for the draw.

What the feck Evra and John O'Shea were brought on for I'll never know.
 
Calm down everyone. Even though it seems like it's the end of the world to some of you, it isn't. United were the better side on the night. Celtic scored on their one and only real chance on a free kick that shouldn't have been. United missed a couple of great opportunities. That's football.

Perhaps some motivation for Sunday and of course the next CL match against Benfica. Don't you know that our Ronaldo will be mighty motivated for that one.

Saha played well...but Rooney was too deep...Evra would have added greater attack options...

lets give Celtic some credit here...they played well at home...

I'm over it...come on Sunday when we will kill the russian whores....
