Celtic vs. Manchester United - 21/11/2006 (19:45)

Celtic 2-0, then it will be down to Man Utd needing a point against Benfica to finish second in the group!!!!

C'mon the Hoops!!!!!!!

hmmm. We beat Benfica 3-0 at home and lost 3-0 in Lisbon, where you won 1-0. By some fiendish and self-evidently bogus process of logical deduction that means you should win 0-1 tomorrow night.

However...in Lisbon we didn't have either Gravesen or J-Voh, so that theory's all shot to feck.

If United play their strongest line-up, you'll win 2-1 or 3-1. If Fergie tinkers with it (your lineup...) then it'll be a 2-2 draw, or a 2-1 Celtic win.

I reckon fergie's tinkering will be Neville and Giggs out.

He certainly won't put out a weak team. Its not every day that Man Utd go to Parkhead.

Rooney to be on fire once again and United to win 4 1

Very tough game for us.

Ima go for a 2-2 draw.

good luck tomorrow. Your bhoys are gonna need it.

if only we won or drew the Copehengan game, we won't be fretting over this match, still we can do it, a draw will be fine for us but I rather we go for the win.

I don't like how some people on here are just assuming that the win is guaranteed, minds already focused on Chelsea. Gods help us if the players have such an atitude.

Ideally, hopefully, we will go north of the wall and put in a performance worthy of both our current form and potential, and the magnitude this match.

The atmosphere will be unique yes, but we have much experience and skill to fall back upon.

It's going to be some battle, Celtic'll rise to the ocassion no doubt, but it is one that Sir Alex will see us win. We've made our mistakes for this group stage, and learnt our lessons too, we're not about to lose our momentum now.

Who knows about the score though, too unpredictable a game.

Oh and today's Telegraph is going with this...

Team details (probable)

Celtic (4-4-2): Boruc; Telfer, Balde, McManus, Naylor; Nakamura, Gravesen, Lennon, Maloney; Vennegoor of Hesselink, Miller.
Manchester United (4-4-2): Van der Sar; Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Heinze; Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs; Rooney, Saha.

UNITED!!!

Suggestion on Skysports news this morning that Neville would start...surely with his injury they'll rest him for the weekend?

It'll be tough don't worry about that, brilliant atmosphere second biggest ground in UK so expect Noise and a fantastic game..!!

Draw will do me I reckon 1-1 and United go through..!

Good Luck also to the Bhoys...!! Hail Hail

Honestly

Celtic - United 1-4 (Rooney x2,Carrick,Ronaldo)

I predict great performance by United

I'd rest Giggs and Neville and play Fletch and Brown instead.

On the BBC homepage, they said Fletch and Gabby will start. So I guess Giggs will be rested, as is Evra

This should be a great game. I can't wait...

I can't beleive he's going to play Gaz, unless he has already decided that his injury will make him a liability at the weekend. And i really hope he doesnt rest Scholes for Fletcher, if it's Giigs then great but please SAF don't mess with the middle of the park.

just heard that a load of bhoys are stranded back home in Ireland because Stenna's have cancelled the ferry's.

unlucky :(

united to win by 3 goals , balde will give away a penalty guaranteed , he is a clumsy oaf ,c'mon united

Hope we get our finger out tonight. Our last two midweek performances have been dire.... have been really pissed off going to bed around 2 in morning after watching those matches (Dubai 4hrs ahead of UK)

It's just been on the news that Celtic are going to charter flights to get them to Glasgow! Dunno if it's true, but would be an amazing gesture to a group of fans who regularly make a 14hr round trip week in week out.

Celtic 0-2 United. Ronaldo to get both goals.

Celtic will score, I reckon. Not saying we'll win, but we'll score. Big J-Voh has Ferdinand in his back pocket :)

2-1 to United or 2-2.

I'd rather win on Sunday tbh, though getting qualification out of the way would be cool.

Same side as Shef Utd game but Heinze in for Evra.

Shame for you then that Vidic will be marking him

My team would be

--------------Kuczchak----------

Wes-------Rio--------Mickey----Heinze

Fletcher---OShea-----Carrick----Ronaldo

-----------Smith--------Ronaldo-----

Bugger. Vidic is a defender who likes to defend, as opposed to being an overrated cokehead with a Jeremy Beadle fixation and a laughably inflated sense of self-worth.

In that case I predict Kenny Miller will bamboozle Rio by looking quite shit and then scoring.

3-1

i think we'll hammer them and get the job over and done with pretty quickly...then make some late subs and conceed a goal

saha hat trick :D

other than that, it should just be a standard day at the office

What like the Copenhagen or Reading ''standard days at the office''? :nervous:

Inside news on the Celtic line-up.

---------------Boruc---------------

------Telfer Balde McManus Naylor

--------Gravesen Lennon Sno-----

------------Nakamura------------

---------Zurawski Vennegoor-----

Which would be extraordinary if true. no Miller, maloney or Mcgeady, and a formation that we've never played before....

Haud yer horses - they have chartered flights for the stranded fans, but at cost price of £160 a head. Better than nowt, but only if you've got the cash.

apparently its all kicking off at Glasgow, some of our "fans" are fighting em :(

I despair at some of our so called fans some times.

Channel all the fecking effort into fighting our biggest enemy (Glazer) you numpties
