But, like us, I'm sure he has feelings

;)

You know I love you both!!

Zaha was excellent again. I'm seeing little reason why he shouldn't start the season as first choice. We produced chances all game long, but we still looked noticeably more dangerous when he came on.

To be fair, these sides actually play some good football. It is not just hoof it up and hope for the best but very comfortable on the ball and organised off it.

I guess these results will make the European teams to take a second look at the talent pool in Asia and that's only going to be a good thing for football.

Osaka and Yokohama would both do very well in the PL. They have serious quality, including a few Japanese nationals each (and we all know how good they are at the moment.) I'd rather see us getting draws against sides like this than coasting through lots of easy 'Indonesia XI' games and then struggling as soon as the season started and we came up against proper sides.

What you really want from pre-season is to get the feeling that the players are getting a really tough, consistent work-out over a decent period of time, and that's definitely happening this year. Last time round it felt like all they did was get on and off the plane.

2-2 vs Cerezo Osaka... very good team, hard game for the lads. Tough humid conditions, I lost 4kgs during the game... 90mins played so on we go! ‪#‎RioTourDiary‬

This proves just how hard the humidity is to play in!

I agree with you mate.

This has been one of the hardest pre-seasons I can remember considering how physically demanding it has been. Had I just seen the results and not the game itself then I might have been a little disappointed but the quality of the opposition in a way really cheered me up irrespective of the results. The primary motive was marketing but it has also made a lot of sense from a football standpoint too.

I can't imagine januzaj losing 4 kgs in a game..no wonder he didn t play 90 mins.

Re:januzaj. That pass was the highlight of the game imo. He could be one of those players who need quality players around him to express himself better.

Humidity (even at not so high temperatures) is a torture to play in. There is so much sweat that even your kit becomes heavy on you.

Exactly - there is so much moisture in the air that the sweat from your body / shirt can't evaporate - so you also don't cool down.

Just got home from work and finished watching it on MUTV. I must say, Paddy Crerand really is hilarious. #Random

Not need. I mean, he's been excellent at youth and reserve level. But I agree he looks the sort to really thrive with top players around him.

Thought it was very interesting that Moyes stated there were some interesting young players in the Osaka side. Perhaps we'll be looking at taking a couple of those lads home with us...
Let's sign Minamino

Just watched this, I thought we played fairly good. It was obvious our player haven't put too much effort and energy, but still we created lot of good chances, on other day we would score 4 or 5. And Cereze didn't even create too many chances, they scored 2 goals from 3 or maximum 4 good chances.

Result defintely shows nothing, I thought we were very good, I am plaesed with pretty much every player's performance. Kagawa MOTM IMO.

He is a player like Mata, Silva, and Kagawa. Alone physically he does not have the power, strength or speed to blast passed multiple players, but he uses the legs of other good runners to maximise his vision and passing.

Once our players get used to him he could become a very important player already - the pass to Anderson was just another example of how he already has that mental picture in his head. At such a young age that is really invaluable and so hard to teach.

Once he fills out he is going to be a cracking young player, I really do have high hopes for him.
