Champions League 2014/15

Just put Copenhagen-Leverkusen on.

3-2 to the Germans, can guarantee no more goals now I'm watching it as is typical.

Debuchy being Debuchy there. Have no idea why Arse went in for him. He's not very good at all, and wasn't all that great at Newcastle to warrant a move to Arsenal. Yes I know he's first choice right back for France but Nani is a starting winger for Portugal.

Pundits keep saying Sanchez has been good in the same way they were saying Ozil has been good last season but I haven't seen both players even close to reaching the levels they were playing at Madrid and Barca. Is it just me?

This is Alexis' 3rd game, give him time

Özil has reached his Real Madrid level, just nowhere near as consistently yet.

I want Besiktas to win this cause Bilić is their coach, I want him to do good.

Appears to have done a great job with the Turkish team, Pektemek in particular is a very skilled forward. Been a very entertaining match, Alexis is a terrific talent - shame he has no one near his level to link up better with. Giroud has quality, he's just ridiculously inconsistent

Amazing that despite Chambers defending Ba well, he could already be on a hat trick. Can't believe Olcay missed that

Anyone watching Bilbao? Muniain is having a bit of a field day.

Yeah, even better if Besiktas qualify to CL somehow. There were many doubters about him here in Croatia but now we're crying for him cause all the mess in the NT.. Standard stuff, you dont know whats good for you when it's happening.
I hope he'll prove he's a good coach and his good (imo) career with our national side wasn't just a coincidence.

Besiktas definitely looking the better side but not taking their very clearcut chances.

I see some are watching Athletic, how has Muniain developed? He was excellent against us in Europa not so long ago, I'm curious.

How's Iturraspe been ? And Laporte ?
Iturraspe has been a bit of an enforcer, tough tackling and has recycled position well. Napoli are struggling going through the middle. Laporte has looked fine; Higuain looks absolutely shot for fitness so be hasn't had too much to deal with, but he looks capable on the ball.

Bilic deserves a lot of credit for getting this sort of effort out of his players, the desire is palpable

What if you win the first match 4-0 - can you just forfeit or make a mistake like that and it's 3-0 and you're through?
I know this is old, but was reading just now, found it curious, looked it up, and:

If a club refuses to play or is responsible for a match not taking place or not being played in full, the Control and Disciplinary Body declares the match forfeited and/or disqualifies the club concerned in combination with the following fines

I don't think there is any situation where a club can can benefit from forfeiting.

Debuchy is Arsenal's Evra. And he isn't as good going forward.

No way are Arsenal winning the league with him up front. Amazed Remy hasn't gone there yet.

As soon as Walcott is back, Sanchez up top.

Sanchez must be frustrated having to play with Giroud. He had Messi and Neymar in support last season.

I reckon he will once Arse qualify for the CL group stages.
