Champions League Quarter Finals 2020/21 - Apr 6/7 & 13/14

Missing Lewandowski, Gnabry and Goretzka and thus our three most dangerous players in the last weeks/months was just too much for this tie and yet we could have done it.

If Manchester United with a front three of Martial, Rashford and James can tear City apart then imagine the damage Di Maria, Neymar and Mbappe do?

People overrating City on this forum is unbelievable. PSG just beat the best team in European while City have beaten nobody of note up to this point and still have a tough game tomorrow night

Hernandez easily man of the match.
Best performance since he joined us.

do people still hate chelsea that much, so they support porto?

Once again, I've come to the conclusion that the away goal rule is stupid (not even considering there are no fans).

They should get rid of this rule. The winning team should win based on their total goals being higher than the opposition's total goals. The winning team should not be decided based on one goal counting for two because it was scored at a different stadium.

I really can't stand PSG. Id buy a season ticket to Ellan Road before I'd willingly pay to watch a PSG game without United playing in it.

Can't believe how unlucky Bayern have been. Lewandowski is having the season of his career and he manages to pick up a injury during internationals that'll keep him out for just long enough to miss these games. The only reason PSG are through, is because of that injury.

I'm far prouder of this game, so much better than the 1st. Yeah we lost but were clearly far better than last week. With a bit of luck we could have scored 2 or 3 and unlike last week, the gameplan was perfectly executed (bar the goals)

Again City and Bayern are denied the matchup we were all interested to see if we're still classing them as the best two teams in Europe right now.

As expected PSG prevail but I can't see them knocking out Man City.

A wasteful Bayern in the 1st leg proved very costly but let's be honest if Lewandowski, Gnabry had played that match last week it would be them instead of PSG in the last 4.

Some winner for Porto too little to late for them however.

Hernandez is a beast! One of the best CB perfomances i have seen. And vs two of the best forwards in the game

I thought PSG were the better team on the night and should have finished a few chances to kill the game off. Really enjoyed that tie.

Chelsea are dull as feck eh

Certainly we didn't light the world on fire but we were by far the better side on the night. Better performance overall from us than the first leg, I thought.

Not fussed about the result obviously given we went through and the obvious weirdness of it being a neutral venue. Think Tuchel rightly realised it's a fundamentally different calculus with away goals at a neutral venue applying.

Change this board's name to white café now!!!

I find it nauseating just how popular city are on this forum. They have proven nothing yet every year get hailed the favourites.

Every time I watch bug Champions League games like this it makes we really hope we go out and buy some top players so we would compete at this level again.

CL nights are just peak and we barely even try to compete.

A few things. Don't underestimate the power of the jinx. Also, PSG beaten the best team in Europe. That best team in Europe has had by far and away the best striker in the world for the last couple of seasons and he's out. His understudy recently played for Stoke. Bayern may be the best team, with everyone fit, but it's not like some colossal gap between the top teams. Frankly, no team is playing some incredible football in the last 12 months and the schedule is presumably the main factor.

PSG Vs City is a toss up.

City maybe slight favourites but they're always vulnerable to fast counter attacks as we've shown time and time again.

Neymar and Mbappe on the break could do serious damage.

No bottling in the last minutes of a CL KO tie, was it really PSG who played tonight ?

Sane is the second coming of Martial. He's not on the same level as the rest of the Bayern players.

I'll take any results tomorrow except Liverpool getting through. I'd be sick if they won this again.

City I can stomach because I barley know a single city fan.

the epl as a whole is massively overrated on this forum. Psg should do city

The way PSG set up against Bayern over these two legs, you can already tell how they’ll set up against City, and it’s a carbon copy of how we always set up against them. Just that this time, you take Rashford, Martial and James out, and replace them with Neymar, Mbappe and Di Maria. This is if Haaland doesn’t tear them apart tomorrow. Not getting too worried yet.

With that loss, Bayern's 19 game unbeaten run in the CL comes to an end. We still hold the record for the longest unbeaten run of 25 games from 07 to 09.
