Would love to have a post-career interview with Ramos and Busquets, where they take us through the theatrical highlights of the El Classicos under Mourinho and Guardiola.

I'd pay good money to see this.

You mean Bale alone, probably cost 5 times their team? ;)

Ah, the Levy effect

Why do people expect teams to go toe to toe with the most expensive and talented teams in Europe. You set up in the way that is most likely to get you a result it is as simple as that. Plus Atletico play some great stuff at times.
Indeed, they had Real on the ropes for a lot of the second half last week. Not to mention the hammering they gave them in the league.

That is the only way to compete vs the big teams. I dont mind it at all. Underdogs always have my support.
I generally agree and do not begrudge Atlético whatsoever. However, Dortmund gave a master class of a performance against Real just 2 years ago beating them by 4 so it is not a total impossibility.

Some refs are incredibly blind. A shot by Moutinho as deflected as possible are is given goalkick

Yeah, one look at the ball's trajectory should tell you everything you need to know to decide that it was a corner.

Monaco looking pretty good here.

I just don't see how atletico are going to score here. Mandzukic looks hopeless.

They talk to the ref and help him when he is wrong supposedly. However I have witnessed many occurrences where they did nothing whereas they were in great viewing positions.
Yea what I'm saying is they're connected by radio and can alert the ref to things - if they're impacting on decisions we as viewers would likely be unaware.

The players reconcile but the ref wants them to reconcile when they're told BY HIM.

Never understood why Hernandez went on loan to Real, he probably could've been more useful for United this season than Falcao.

A random long throw or a blind cross or corner and they will be laughing.

Underdogs they may be, but pardon me for not wiahing to see this type of football in the semis or the final.

They get paid to watch matches. I have rarely seen them make any decision.
I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to make any sort of signal. They only "make decisions" verbally, so you wouldn't really know if they helped making a decision.
