Champions League Round of 16 (12th Feb - 13th Mar)

That was so stupid by Militão. He should be playing CB.

Porto’s defense has been fecked since Pepe came in and Militao started playing RB.

De Rossi makes it 1-1 from the penalty spot. Rooting for penalties

Well done by Dalot.

This is everyone’s game at the moment.

EDIT: and then he gives that ball :wenger:

45 minutes to go and only a 1 goal difference in both ties. Thought today was going to be a fairly bad football day but this has gone perfectly

United have done well, but it has to be said that this is really self sabotage from PSG, two ridiculous goals to be giving away.

United going further in the CL can only be a good thing. More games to fatigue them and have them concentrate on that rather than the PL

I'm not sure how it's going in Portugal, but I'd not be surprised to see another 2-3 goals in Paris. I think PSG will progress by 1-2 goals.

The sight of Buffon may confuse you, but this is actually PSG.

Not necessarily. Momentum is a big thing in football and a result here would have the United squad bouncing off the walls in terms of self belief.

The extra fatigue is a factor, but mentally I do think if they were to go through tonight they'd be riding a serious wave.

Reminder that PSG have a good homegrown GK they could be starting for these matches. They did not need Buffon but, PSG is obsessed with signing big names.

Are you surprised that an Arsenal fan has found a way to spin a negative from progressing in the CL? They've had to make up plenty of blessings in disguise from getting knocked out early in this competition.

My nerves are shot! Dalot looks fantastic minus that awful pass. Gomes in for Andreas and Greenwood in if we still trail late. Bailly was lost and great sub hurt or not. We got this.

As long as we wouldn't get more injuries then yeah, it would be fantastic

To be fair, when you get spanked 10-2 by the same team twice in a few years, you have to try and look for some positives in life

Ah you're showing you can handle an injury crisis regardless, your squad depth is very good, far better than your fans made it out to be.

At least they were replacing an aging GK with a younger one. PSG have a good young GK and they are giving him less starts so they can play a 40 year old GK who was steps away from retiring.
Navas is 32years old so basically that's 28-29 years for an outfield player. He isn't old, was performing great for them.
Courtois made more sense as he's still young (for a keeper) and on paper could have been their first choice for a good while.
It made more sense in an absurd world yeah, I just question the need to go for a keeper when you have more pressing concerns

Dount Tuchel would play him if he didn't consider him better. Not into big names by any means.

Precious lot aren't you.

United fans want Arsenal to go further in Europa so they play more matches = nothing wrong with that. Arsenal fan wants the same for United = being negative.

This is true, but I guess they saw Courtois was available and decided it was worth making the move at that time? They got him pretty cheaply for a top keeper.

Given our extensive injuries to the midfield area, we were always going to require a large dose of luck in order to scrape through.

Thank God for the rain!

If United go through tonight, we'll truly see how much Tuchel has learned from Klopp. It'd be great if he blamed the rain

Indeed, and United deserve a lot of credit for that half.

Get to the late stages of this half still at this scoreline and PSG will start to panic knowing that it would only take one goal to put them out.

Posters on here are mental. Some of them said every player was shit to excuse the previous manager, and others said the same to criticise the managers recruitment. It was all focused on that rather than facts. This squad has proven players, that have won trophies and finished with a respectable points tally last season. We have the 3rd best squad in the league (we were better than Liverpool, but they spent a ton in the summer to move ahead of us).

The only thing I care about when it comes to Arsenal is the AFTV meltdown after a loss. And that is the same for countless united fans. The vast majority on here have already decided that Arsenal are a non-factor.

I have never considered as a great keeper tbh

To use the old Fergie quote, he's a top player, but not a top top player. I'd have DDG/Oblak/Ter Stegen ahead of him.

He's a class keeper, but I agree with you, he's a touch below the real elite.

PSG need to bring Cavani on, push Man. United back a bit and give their defence more to think about.

Jesus though, Mbappe... What the feck  Rightly overruled, but good lord.

Wow, from a neztral point of view it's sad that didn't count. Genius assist, brillant finish
