Champions League Round of 16 (12th Feb - 13th Mar)

The way Son went away and celebrated by himself tells me that he doesn't from a lack of self confidence, arrogance even. Asian players have been accused of being too humble for they own good.

Yep, snorefest, what is the go with that lineup from Spurs? No Rose or Davies at LB? Im assuming both are injured but im sure I seen Rose names in the subs. No Llorente or Lamela? And 3CB's just sitting on the halfway line passing the ball back and forth between them.

Nice timing with this post :p

Good save from the Ajax keeper.

I'm not saying it was a bad decision, as I think the keeper was being blocked. One thing I will say though is that if it happened at the other end, that goal stands. Therein lies the problem with UEFA.

I don’t understand. When he heads the ball he is interfering Curtois and blocking his movements, and he is doing that in an offside position.

Haven’t seen the replays before. That’s what people are arguing about? That’s clearly offside regardless of whether keeper’s getting to it or not, he’s even physically engaging him, ie impeding an opponent from an offside position.

If you don’t think that’s offside, why aren’t teams sticking one player each side of the keeper and just taking potshots from 30 yards then?

Great game so far though! Mostly thanks to ajax, but still!

Son is a helluva finisher, thats for sure. The score doesnt reflect the game though. They have been kicking Dortmund all over the place but has a referee that is allowing it. The difference between what this referee is allowing compared to ours yesterday is shocking. Its a real problem in the CL that. The different application of the rules of the game from referees from different countries.

Can’t believe Dortmund haven’t stuck Sancho on Aurier with him on a yellow since early in the game. Can Sancho not play on the left?

Vertonghen does so well but has to pass it.

Spurs have been brilliant in the second half.

I don't believe that it's rigged. They are just the team that has lately been incredibly jammy in this competition, on all possible levels. And as the result they've been enormously overrated, on a collective and individual level.

Yes it is a very clear offside.m, especially with VAR.

The intensity is extreme!

Son was offside all the way up until the final moment, at which point Verthongen had a great shooting opportunity.

Great quick free kick. Wish we actually do the same sometimes.

I am incredibly disappointed by Dortmund. They are very average today and generally it seems like they are not anywhere close to a great team without Reus.

The backline is particularly average, midfield is creating nothing all game and the attack has some skills, but lacks a great goalscorer.
