Champions League Round of 16 (12th Feb - 13th Mar)

Expecting it from the latter two. Honestly, I just want an exciting game.

I do hate this suspension nonsense, though. A suspension should only be in place for a red card (& this is something I've felt for years, not just because VVD is out... But that definitely plays part in me bringing it up :D).

Even in the league?

Funfact...

Lewandowski scored 8 of his 9 goals from open play in the CL final rounds since he plays for Bayern when Müller was hanging striker. Only one in the many matches in which he played in front of 3 midfielders... (+ 2 penalties)
Müller in that time had 10 goals from open play - 2 when playing centre forward alone

My hope is on Coman.

Surprised Lyon haven't gone in with a similar set up to the one that gave City problems. Their midfield is really good under pressure, if they have a big and the attackers get it done on the counter they'll give Barca a game.

Even in the league. Getting yellows is part of the game. You get red for being excessive or entirely reckless - That's suspension worthy. But you'll never convince me that a few yellows across a few games should lead to any sort of suspension.

Well Van Djik should be suspended anyway (and liverpool probably going out in the groups) because he should blatantly have been sent off vs Napoli!

True :D Honestly, I'm more worried about the fact that Robertson could be suspended if he gets a yellow in this match. Such a dumb rule.

Bayern please win..

That Bayern team on paper looks quite good. Weak bench however.

I get what you’re saying but one might argue that he should’ve had a straight red against Napoli anyway.

Aside from that, I’m now fully pumped for the match after having spent the rest of the week worrying about the great battle on sunday.

Problem is, no prime Robbery anymore. No game changers.
Yeah the area of weakness does seem to be outwide. Gnabry and Coman are nothing to be too worried about, but hopefully they can cause some damage today :D

Aye.

I'm definitely not trying to make excuses in advance, by the way. We should absolutely win this leg, & anything other than a win will be a failure. Let's hope for a good game.

Alot of people underrating this Bayern side, reckon they will score twice tonight.

Thiago be crucial in midfield for Bayern and Coman can cause all sorts of damage with the pace he has

Fekir suspended, doh hadn't realised that. At least will be back for the second leg.

No Macca commentating. We've all already won the night!

How has Gnabry been for Bayern? I forgot he plays for them to be honest.

Why do BT treat YAWN as some sort of national anthem?

What a fecking din. This is why the football world hates them - the commentators have stopped talking so we can hear that shite.

And now you will start hearing the players talking on the pitch like after all these "Famous Anfield nights":wenger:

Damn.

Did anyone even hear the Uefa song in the liverpool game?

 True. Away fans put English fans to shame at home. The German fans will always sing, & the PSG fans at Anfield/OT were absolutely nuts from start to end.

Klopp looking like he’s spent the night on a park bench again.

Jim bloody Beglin. Sacked by ITV and still floats his biased arse to the surface somewhere.

Is everyone trying to jinx Liverpool or something? The way you lot go about Bayern is as though they are some pub team. Christ sake. Come on Bayern! #miasanmia

Winaldjum looks like the FIFA players that haven’t been given a licensed face.
