Champions League Round of 16 (12th Feb - 13th Mar)

100 percent a penalty, why does VAR take so long. One look and it’s a pen.

Ref has given, should not take 2 minutes

1-1

He's trying to pull his arm behind his back. I just can't get behind this handball rule.

Schalke have played quite well for a mid table side. City not particularly dominant.

It's not the worst decision I've ever seen by any means but I think that is harsh. Arm was very close to his side and he was pulling it even closer to his body (behind his back) when it actually struck his arm.

I can't help but imagine what Mbappe would do to both Atletico's and Juventus' centre backs. They wouldn't get near him and would have no other choice than yo specifically set up to stop him.

I had Juve as one of the favourites for the CL before this game.

Now I'm not sure. Is it just clash of styles or are they just bad?

Don't be hyperbolic.

Ten minutes?

That in itself took from 32:50 mins to 37:13 seconds before the penalty was taken.. now imagine a couple of more decisions like that in a first half with a referee taking an age and players surrounding him. Ten minutes might not sound like an exaggeration.

What’s the point in signing Ronaldo solely to win you the CL if you’re gonna put this midfield behind him? Pointless, Matuidi and Bentancur are useless.

Unless FIFA/Uefa decide to introduce a stop-clock which I think they have to at this point, far too time wasted with VAR sometimes
In the Juve game, there was a decision that just took 15-20seconds. They need to find consistency but that will only come through experimentation. We need to be patient
