Yeah right, let's all turn our backs on the ball shall we? You're talking like he was 2 yards away.
Kimpembe should have faced the ball. He was far enough away where he could react to it.
Clear pen which i'm glad the ref had the balls to give for once.
Don’t care in the slightest we have been on the end of some very harsh decisions in the CL in the past...Nani red, Rafael red..I wanted United to go through tonight and dislike PSG as a club far more, overall I'm glad United qualified.
I still don't think it's a penalty, not at all. I don't see how anybody who has played football could think otherwise, there is nothing you can do when a ball is hammered at you from a range like that, his arms don't go to block the ball and he's not even looking at it, there is zero intent there.
It's the kind of penalty call that gets laughed off every week when players make a soft appeal for it.
It's in line with how VAR calls handballs. I think it's even one of the easier ones, compared to some of the stuff that I've seen.
There seems to be too handballs called with VAR. Rule clarifications are necessary for sure, but for now player need to be careful and adjust.

Feel robbed ? They can feck off
They can!
Wishful thinking. We have 5 or 6 starters missing, I highly doubt we'd even come close but i'd love to see their chairman's face if they bottle this.
Never in doubt!
Tut, tut!
You my friend should have more faith![]()

You were saying bro? Will be hilarious to see United dumped out of the CL tomorrow.
None of the panel on BT sport (which features 2 ex united players in Hargreaves and Ferdinand) think it is a penalty.
Yep, which shows they don't keep up with IFAB guidelines in the way referees do.
I love comments like this. Have some people ever actually played football?
Your immediate instinct when a ball is fired at you from close range is to turn your back to protect yourself, you do it without thinking. I've watched the clip over and over and Kimpembe simply does what was natural, his arm isn't lifted upwards or in an unnatural position.
There's no way he's got any intent whatsoever to stop that. If under the current rules that is a penalty, then the rule needs a serious rework. You call it 'balls' for the ref to give it, but there's a reason most referees won't entertain giving that kind of decision, because you'd have it happen all the time in stupid circumstances.
Another VAR penalty review, now for Roma![]()

Ever heard of Rio Ferdinand? I think he's played football and he said you should never turn your back.
You’d have kicked your TV in if the roles were reversed instead of preaching this “follow the rules” stuffRefs are there to apply the rules of the game not decide which rules are right or wrong. The rules for handball have been made more strict, therefore it's a penalty. Refs making up their own rules leads to the shambles that is Michael Oliver.
