Champions League Round of 16 (14th Feb - 15th Mar)

We've been a disgrace this game. Absolutely terrible. I feel sorry for Haaland, I genuinely think Bernardo, Gundogan, Rodri, Grealish and Mahrez hate him.

Meh 1-0 defeat, the red card was the last straw for us to concede.
Still we have a reasonably good chance to progress, Inter isn't better than us, they're even.

 Silly Haaland waiting for the killer ball when no one but KDB is allowed to risk it. He just has to be patient, drop deep, and involve himself in the build up more.

I have never seen a player make so many runs for his teammates to ignore him.

Grealish in particular never passes to Haaland. Bernardo Silva has been guilty of it too. Foden remains the most obvious but wasn’t on tonight.

He’s been this way in most of City’s games recently. Think he might just be regretting his choice a little.

It definitely looked like he was fed up with his role in their game at the end of this game. He also looked extremely frustrated after the full time whistle.

That made me laugh a bit.

What's different to the beginning of the season?

Nothing they wouldn't pass to him then either. The difference is KDB actually looks forward with the ball, all of those look backwards except Mahrez who while quite brilliant is crazy greedy.

Form wise, I think this team is coming to the end of an era, a year older and a year slower.

How was that not a pen at the end, defender punched the ball forward with both hands.

Actually getting pretty weird now. It's like the think they're above passing to him and they must play their way.

I can understand having your own style but Haaland is a beast when 1 on 1 but every time there is a chance of a counter attack people like Grealish or gundogan pass it sideways . Crazy stuff

No PL win in the CL.
Well you know thats only because the PL is really, really competitve whereas these clown clubs from these kick for giggles farmers leagues can rest their best players every weekend, right?

Could do with a close up but that looked like a stonewall penalty at the end for City.

City are so fecking boring.

It's not as bad as Van Gaal football but it's seriously close.

It's so sterile, there's nothing there. It's like football designed by AI.

They daren't allow themselves to lose the ball.

Haaland being fed by Bruno would be something else.
The amount of media attention his father gave towards the Keane tackle meant, he could never really join United. Plus no cl.

It would have been good, but we have seen this before with Ruud. He scored a lot but we didn't win much. We need a proper number 9 who is able to hold the ball and also score. Basically someone like Martial when he is on top form. The 2015-16 one and we are grand.

Red card for Otávio, now execute order Bus 2.0
Yep Otávio brain freeze. This ain't the Portuguese league where the refs lap up this bs.
How is he still alive??? :lol::lol: i wasn't even emotionally invested in the game and after 5 minutes I had this barely controllable urge to just get in the car, drive to the stadium, then into the stadium so i could run him over

Never seen a more irritating man before

Gotta be honest, I didn't catch it in real time so didn't pay any attention but on the replay its super blatant.
I thought it was in real-time but the replay, Jesus christ, how have they looked at that and decided to give nothing :wenger:

Heady days indeed. Liverpool shite, City lost their spark, both sets of players look miserable and we're facing into a hugely exciting few days, everyone at Old Trafford looking like their having the time of their lives. I'm obviously not saying this out loud and I'll schedule this post for Sunday night.

I think Sterling/Sane would do wonders in this team, hugging the touchline and looking for the cross or the cutback
For sure, I think any pacy wingers with their good foot on the outside ala that combo would be excellent in this City team.

PL "We have the worst VAR in the world"
CL "Ya think?"

The referee just flat out refused to even consider that. Incredible refereeing.
