Champions League Round of 16 (15th Feb - 16th Mar)

The middle east owns European football. Shame to see a great club like Sporting get humiliated at home by an Abu Dhabi toy

Sporting manager's stock falling a fair bit lately.

City hasn't won the Champions League yet, neither did PSG

Smashing Sporting CP doesn't equal to owning european football.Unless you assume Sporting CP are favorites to win CL.

They own it and their grip will just get tighter.

Not they don't, what the Middle East owns is Premier League.
They haven't won the CL yet...even getting knocked out by Tottenham, Monaco and Lyon.

Neymar will help, of course.
I mean he is an upgrade on di Maria, but to have the perfect balance it is hard to accommodate neymar and Messi in the same team in this stage of their career. They would need a striker or a workhorse like Bernardo silva instead if they want to go the false 9 route

If this game isn't enough to convince Flo that we desperately need a new RWB, then i don't know what will

Bad, bad job by ancelotti this game so far

Messi

Dumbo why Messi took the pen

Kroos is awful. His passing decline so much. And he's off pace. Passenger performance so far.

Strange how you just feel that Messi isn't that special anymore. I thought the same before he took it.
Messi has missed loads of penalties, even at Barca in his prime. He isn't actually a very reliable penalty taker if I remember right, still kept taking them. A bit like Ronaldo at free kicks..

Real Madrid's press is so half-arsed. You never get the impression are ever in trouble when they're faffing about at the back.

True. But for me it changed from "he might miss it" to "why the feck do they still allow him to take it".

Qualifies as a classic Kroos performance, really.

Carletto too slow with the substitutions.I don't understand why he didn't use Valverde

Real Madrid are playing like they learned the concept of "playing out from the back" two days ago.

Sometimes I think "If Uli Hoeneß was on the Caf, he would be Hansi Fick"
Kroos has made a career out of letting Modric do 85% of the work yet raking in 45% of the plaudits.

Nice for PSG to bring a £200m player on off the bench probably get the winner.
