Champions League Semi Finals (30th April - 8th May)

It doesn't make business sense to let go of valuable assets for nothing. Pogba alone is worth over 150M

Obviously there would be some sacrifice - that was inherent in the point of the post.

But quite a few of our "valuable assets" are in fact expensive liabilities, inflating and unbalancing our wage bill and expectations while at the same time, dragging down the quality and personality of the squad.

I think we could comfortably cut our wage bill by 150mil per year and still line up with a squad of players better equipped to compete at the very top than our current lot.

It's all fantasy until we have a coherent structure in place to scout, recruit and coach such players but still, De Ligt is exactly the sort of once in a generation talent and leader you could build a project around.

I also can't wait until he's enough of a household name that my autocorrect stops changing his name to De Light.

Are Felix Brych and Cunyet Cakir the only refs available? Between them, they seem to referee every single CL game.

Remember when Dolberg was the star of this team when we played them? He looks like Lukaku now.

Everybody is about Liverpool carving open Ajax or Spurs. Remember that Barcelona yesterday as bad as they were still had their chances and up until 55th minute or so Liverpool defense looked a bit shaky.

Wasn't Ziyech stupidly rated a few years back? Guess this run is boosting his reputation again.
