Champions League Semi Finals (30th April - 8th May)

I'm in awe of the touch, composure, quality passing shown by this Ajax team.

The complete antithesis of this United team.

Is it just me or is this thread really quiet? Did everyone decide to stop watching football after Liverpools result yesterday?

If Ajax play like this there’s not a team in world football that can ‘carve them open’. Ajax can outplay anyone in world football right now.
Spurs have created chances here. Even in their games against Madrid, they conceded quite a few chances themselves. The first leg in particular they were the better side but lost 2-1.

They certainly create against anyone but Liverpool will get their chances.

What Ajax are doing is one of the most inpressive things I’ve ever seen in football. A club from the Eresdivisie knocking out Real Madrid, Juventus and now most likely Spurs is fecking outrageous.

With Eriksen massively off the boil this season Spurs have little midfield creativity. Alli is more of a finisher and he's been awful this season.

That's something they need to look at in the market this summer. Cue more 10m bids for Grealish.

Love this Ajax side but think Liverpool will beat them

Hopefully one more after this to complete the set :)

For the 1000th time this season can I wish Trippier would feck off out of my club.

If Trippier leave Spurs, there is a 100% chance he will end up at United.

And that's just cruel. Haven't we United fans suffered enough?

Two nice goals from Ajax. Really want them to go on and win this.

This Ajax team make me love football again.

Then I'll watch our bunch of cnuts against Cardiff and hate it again. Seriously feck our club.

In the CL semi-final and playing beautiful football. Yup, that's definitely the antithesis of this united team

It’ll be a game of who takes their chances really. Both teams will certainly conceded them.

Liverpool have such a quality press though, it could really affect ajax’s game.

And Ajax are a young side. If they score first the whole dynamic of the final would change than conceding first.

Spurs players are overrated. Only Kane and maybe Winks I would want at United. Ajax on the other hand have a few good technical players that would do well here.

They did it with LVG at the helm in 95. One of the best squads ever assembled in world football, full of wonderkids.

It's not just this game, he is absolutely shite.

I know but he's only being deployed because Levy wouldn't give any money to Poch to spend. Building a stadium is superb but if you don't invest in the team, it'll disintegrate. This season was a perfect storm to build upon last, but now it is very likely couple of your key players leave this summer. I'd be amazed if your net spend is north of £30m this summer.

Defensively they haven’t looked solid. They can be carved open.

Just so happens up front they can carve open a lot of team themselves.

It’s been a long time since the champions league has been won by a team that you would call ‘defensively solid’. The fact that Juventus lost 2 finals in the last 5 years or so is a good example of that. It’s all about who has the most potent attack these days, and I struggle to see a more potent team going forward than this Ajax outfit.
