Champions League Semi Finals (30th April - 8th May)

It's encouraging to see that this is the team we beat in the Europa League Final just a couple of seasons ago.

They have made such great leaps under Ten Hag in such a short amount of time, they have even had another manager since that final. I know they have some immense talent but they also have players such as Tadic and Blind, whom many here would say are not good enough for United starting XI.

How many goals have Spurs conceded because of Trippier? Must be double figures.

Seriously just sell half of this useless, tragic bunch of footballers.

Would rather have not even got in to the semi final if we're going to play like this. What's the fecking point? Embarrassing shite. Go through all of that in the two legs vs City only to turn up and not even be competitive in the next round.

Absolutely dire, 1/10s all round.

Calm down Squishy!

Ajax have been playing incredible. Spurs playing like don't belong into the semifinal, half of their squad can't pass the ball properly, Eriksen and Wanyama being the worst at that.

We don't belong at all. The praise for Ajax is justified but we are getting outplayed by the likes of West Ham, Southampton and Bournemouth recently, so is this really any surprise?

I held hope based on the City performances, but more and more it becomes clear those were just one offs. Shockingly, pitifully poor in the second half of this season and we don't remotely deserve top four, qualified purely because other sides were also terrible.

The World Football was robbed of a cracking Pep's Man City vs 2019 Ajax semifinal. I mean, I don't even care that much about the Spurs to watch them being bullied in the UCL.

The fact Ajax may have to play qualifiers next season to reach the CL while Spurs will qualify automatically just shows you how fecked the current set up is. Too much pandering to the richest leagues.

Does Trippier have some kind of injury? Doesn’t look to be moving freely

Calm down Squishy!

Culmination of watching us barely resemble a football team these past months. Tried our absolute hardest to chuck away top four despite a very comfortable lead, and then to top it off we've basically handed Ajax a free pass to the final, this couldn't be easier for them.

De Ligt? More like De fecking Lit! Him and De Jong are smooth as silk under pressure. Gegenpress this Ajax team when not at Anfield and see what a rapid counter-attacking, press-resistant side does to you.

It's a shame we'll never see the Pure football final (Ajax vs Barcelona). But this final is gonna be awesome and terrifying.

Spurs have been poor post the 4-3 defeat to City. I expected a competition today, but doesn’t look like Spurs are capable of scoring even if they had 100 shots.

It will be interesting to see how Pochettino will reinvigorate his team next season. It was remarkable that are in this position without spending anything last summer, but I think it is clear for Spurs fan to see that their team will need to be refreshed.

Ajax is playing great football. I wouldn’t be surprised if United keeps Ole, signs Rice and James while Barcelona get De Jong, De Ligt and Ten Hag and we complain why we are struggling. We should have been proactive. De Jong and De Ligt are future world class players. Whereas Ten Hag, looks like a top manager in the making.

However, I still believe Manchester City would have knocked Ajax out.

This won’t be at Anfield though, will it?

So nice of our players when we do get chances to pass it back to the keeper.

Absolute gents.

Actually, went backwards. By some degree too.

Ajax has always had a clear vision and had the opportunity to mold their players and club a certain way. They finally had the right core of players, manager and understanding and this is what happens. Regardless of them wining the CL Final, this is their Golden Generation (again) only difference is it will be extremely difficult for their team to NOT be picked apart from other clubs. But they know this and have players from their academy and pipeline of identification who will fill the void to some level.

United just never have had a clear vision. If the vision was give the reigns to the manager, it still has failed because the board has not given full support to any manager post Fergie. Sacked Moyes before the season's end while only getting in Mata and Felliani. Sacked LVG before his 3rd season for Jose and the playing styles were completely opposite. Jose's teams were in ascension for the first two years, results wise, but then everything went to shit going into the 3rd season.

Ajax deserve all of their success because they stuck to a clear, transparent plan. United had no such thing, and still have no such thing. It's fecking baffling.

I think the lack of investment in some key areas, especially midfield and the fullbacks has really cost you. Even last year Spurs were great to watch, I remember the Juventus and Madrid games when Dembele was in top form and it really made a difference. Sadly, your options are now a crocked Wanyama, Dier and Sissoko and none of them is ever going to cut it at the CL level. The summer should be really busy if you ever want to repeat this year's achievements.

That's our shtick, find your own.

Painfully true.
