Bad news is that Boulahrouz played today and it looks as though this will mean moving Essien into central midfield.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself. But having Essien's thrust in midfield is going to be very difficult to combat and will probably result in Fergie sticking Fletcher in the engine room and putting Rooney up top.
For me, Chelsea's most balanced midfield combination is one of a holding midfielder (Makelele), Lampard and Essien. Certainly the balance is far better than when it is Lampard and Ballack.
From United's perspective: I'm hoping that we can devestate them with the quality of our attacking play. It's actually been quite a while since our big players put on a scintillating performance and I hope that they are saving it for the Cup.

If Carvalho is unfit then i'd much rather have Essien in the back four (with Mikel replacing him in midfield) than Bouhlarouz anywhere on the pitch.

Jose has said that Carvalho has a 1% chance - I wouldn't be surprised to see him line up though.
I'd be glad to see Kalou in and not Robben. I think the one problem with that team is that it could all get very narrow. United can exploit that IMO.
I would also say that SWP would be in with a shout. His end of season form has been excellent. I may be mistaken, but I think he set up Drogba's goal today.
