First time starting a match thread... :smirk:

Not a bad try, just next time make the Charlton badge smaller and the United one bigger. ;) Never noticed that their badge doesn't contain the words 'football club' either.

Point taken... better now? :smirk:

Phil in the centre? I can't imagine Bellion starting.

Howard
Phil Gary Silvestre Fortune
Djemba Keane
Ronaldo/Ole Giggsy Diego
Ruud

No reason to panic. We've had worse injury situations and overcome them. Remember remember the 7th of December. ;)

Just in case anyone is interested, Charlton will probably line up like:

Kiely
Kishishev Young Fish Hreidarsonn Fortune
Euell Parker Holland Jensen
Di Canio/Bartlett

Parker had his suspension overturned, Koncheskey has gone to Spurs, while Di Canio is returning from injury and Carlton Cole has just been ruled out for two weeks.

Very strong team. They could go 4-4-2 with Di Canio and Bartlett up front, but they have been playing modified 5-3-2 so far this season so I don't imagine they'd change, though they could surprise us. Very good midfield, Roy and Eric will have their work cut out. I think Euell and Di Canio will pose us problems, especially with an unfamiliar back four. I don't think Charlton will attempt to sit back and soak up the pressure.

BTW Saturday will mark the debut of our striking new white strip. Saw someone around my area wearing one - the thin stripes are very sharp.

Ronaldo 7 on the back and PL champions badges :smirk:

Diego won't be home in time to play tho, will he? So that would unless Ole can play mean that Bellion or Fletcher will start. My heart says that Fletcher should be first in line of those two but the brain says that Bellion is ahead.

Our bench will make an interesting reading tho.

Carroll
Pugh? Tierney? Fletcher/Bellion Richardson

I thought both Rio and Nicky could have played for England but are rested. I'm hoping they'd both feature this w/end. :smirk:

then what they going to do? catch us on the break?

probable line up

-----------------howard------------------
Djembax2---G.Neville---Silvestre---P.Neville
Flecher-----Keane-----Fortune-----Ronaldo
----------------------Giggs---------------
------------------Ruud--------------------

fortune in midfield will provide more creativity.
we need keano in midfield to drive the team.not in defence please.
gary had done it before at centre back and he should be ok against di canio.
i hope nicky butt is fit to play.

MUTV says that JOS and Nicky should be okay for Saturday.

GK : Howard
DEF : P.Neville, G.Neville, Silvestre, O'Shea
MID : Solskjear, Keane, Djemba, Giggs(up front), Fortune
FOR : Ruud v. Nistelrooy

RUUD HATTRICK

Let's pray for Rio to come back !!

Good ol' Mike is refereeing tomorrow. Hope Ruud has rediscovered his touch from the spot. ;)

Rio is out. Nicky Butt is out. John and Silvestre are still doubtful.

So it looks like

Howard (Carroll)
Phil Gary Silvestre O'Shea (Fortune)
Djemba Keane
Solskjaer Giggs Ronaldo (Fletcher, Forlan, Richardson)
Ruud

Bellion not in the squad. Giggsy will be making his 550th appearance for United.

Fergie said Scholes is out, but he's in the squad .

If Scholes really is out, then id like to see

----------T-Ho----------
Pip Nev-G.Nev-Mickey-O'Shea/Fortune-
-------Djemba-Keane---------------
-Ronaldo-----------Giggs-----------
-------OGS--RVN----------------

Looks good to me.

i can't imagine Bellion starting in the match either....

how's Scholes condition?? :nervous:

is there a possibility that he's playing?

Right, the 'fishal line up

-------------Howard------------
Gary Nev--Rio--O'Shea-P.Nev---
---------Butt-Keane-----------
-Ronaldo---Giggs---Fortune-----
--------Van Nistelrooy-----------

or possibly

--------Howard------------
G.Nev-Rio--O'Shea--Phil
-----Butt--Fortune------
--------Keane------------
-Ronaldo------Giggs------
--------RVN-------------

is what weve played before. Would make more sense with fortune at def. mid, where he's best, as apposed to his old position, left wing.

Some fairly shakey team news, Ronaldo, Fortune, Rio, Butt, O'Shea play, dont know whos dropping out, a guess

Howard

Neville - Rio - Mickey - O'Shea

Keane-Butt

-Ronaldo-Giggs-Fortune-

Ruud

Well after all the concern, that doesn't seem too bad.

Anyone with sky digital/ freeview/ntl/telewest or has a digital radio can listen to the match on radio 5 live extra. Could anyone who can listen and sit at the computer go to the chat room and give a commentry.

Ronaldo's in form today. :D

Phil Neville as right midfielder ain't working tho.

Ruud's looking tired.
