That's the first time I've heard Lampard's airport bar thing lumped in as racism. Christ!
Are you seriously arguing what Mikel did was racist!?
I've no idea what Michy and Kante are up to here on social media but I demand an apology...
This escalated quickly
The paper of the Communist Party of China, The People’s Daily wrote: 'Best to keep your mouth shut, you troublemakers. If you do not learn to respect others, you will never earn the respect yourself. Kenedy is still defending himself in his apology, and Chelsea’s statement is perfunctory to say the least. The hospitable Chinese people don’t welcome such guests. As such Chelsea will be treated as a 'persona non grata' in the future.'
You might get your wish with Pedro and Hazard both out for now. Even if it is a 3-4-2-1, Fabregas will come deep with the inside forward on the other side playing as a support striker.Still holding out hope we at some point employ a 3-5-2. At least in some matches.

Question is, who will be the support striker? Willian or Batshuayi? The latter seems the more obvious choice but Willian never seems to play bad. Plus he probably won't be happy being this down in the pecking order.
Ironically @Don _ Conte , it's Fabregas' place which looks the most assured (assuming he'll play in the front three, not deeper). Things will get more interesting when Hazard returns.

Defend it however you like but Chelsea has a history of racism via players and fans. Are you seriously arguing what Mikel did was racist!?
Or that what happened at the airport was racist!?
It appears to me you're consulting your own biases.
How Lampard being drunk in a bar on 9/11 has turned into him being racist at an airport on 9/11 is ridiculous.
Think it was the defender who flicked it on.Morata got an assist on his debut for Chelsea. We really should have paid up the 90m euros for him. Who's gonna bite?

He looked really bright in the time he did play, my god we need wing backs though
Nah, just childish.Kenedy wasn't racist at all neither was Lampard. Christ, there's already enough of racism you can associate with Chelsea without making stuff up.
Probably, the team look really labored when switching to defense. Maybe we're still unfit? Never seen Azpi lazily sprint back before todayI think you're going to struggle in the CL
I think you're going to struggle in the CL
Firmly believe Chelsea are England's greatest hope in the UCL as things stand, Rudiger was an absolutely fantastic signing, Bakayoko has the legs to play a lot of games and has experience of last season. Morata, whilst right now a downgrade, atleast you won't have to deal with the childish behaviour of Costa and I'm sure Morata will be a great signing.I know im sure you do i see you commenting negative stuff regarding chelsea in 95% of your posts in here, your probably the same type that said we wouldnt be able to see out the league last year or that our luck will stop.
We will see wont we, i dont think any of the english teams have much of a chance bar city but then again not sure anyone wouldve given monaco a chance last year.
We are in pot 1 so will be fine in the group stage. After that even united will struggle to get to QF (if you dont spend another £100m by the end of the window).I think you're going to struggle in the CL

As a club I don't like Chelsea very much at all, the squad that Chelsea have however, I feel has been underrated just because they haven't had to do anything in Europe last season. Personally I'm very scared of Chelsea next season and think they'll retain the league with United/City for second.
What is scary for Chelsea though, assuming they lose Costa, is their depth up front, Solanke sold, Conte didn't use Batishuayi (guessed spelling) much last season, Morata in the main man role for the first time, I feel Chelsea need another good signing up front. I'm sure the summer definitely isn't over for Chelsea however. Which scares me.

United will do a lot better than Chelsea in the league so its only fair to use a non-comparative. Lindelof is a better CB than any that we have. Also Lukaku is quite an upgrade over Ibra."Even" united? United havnt really got any stronger from last year due to replacing Ibra with Lukaku and Lindelof looking terrible in pre season (not that im writing him off) and the options they have left are Matic and Peresic both seriously seriously underwhelming so im not buying into them at all this year. When they park the bus in the champions league teams with that quality will just tear though them.
City will be able to give it a go as will we i hope. Not sure about spurs and pool.

You do realise that if we had another 15 games to play that 22 point gap would probably have reduced to 2 points.I dont think they will at all there team hasnt improved much imo from the 22 point gap they needed to make up last year but ours and citys squads have, dont think they will finish top 2. Lindelof better than any of our centre backs is the most bizarre thing iv ever heard from a chelsea fan (assuming you are one) guess we will have to agree to hugely disagree on this.

Alright chief. The manager who is paid £10m a year couldnt see for 6 months it but internet know it all saw it right away. Keep going. You do realise that was hugely down to the fact we played with 10 men due to costa not wanting to be there and when batshuayi did play we looked better for it. Plus pretty sure united remaining fixtures didnt see them pick up many points so not sure that opinion holds much weight really.
People are just pre empting because last time we won the league we had a poor season after. Yet this year weve already signed strong players not to mention we didnt finish off the season badly at all compared to 14/15. Christensen boga musonda in the team too give us good options.
And this is where we differ. You are probably the most blinkered and biased Chelsea fan here. If you had your way you'd have replaced the whole first XI that just won you the league (bar Hazard) and are the epitome of a 'transfer muppet'.
United were very good in Europe last season and I fully expect with Mourinho at the held a solid campaign. Chelsea have alot to live up to this season given the easy schedule last term. The league win was a great achievement no doubt but juggling European competition for the squad you have will be difficult.
Morata is a downgrade on Costa and when it comes to the very best I don't hold out much hope for the likes of Gary Cahill and Victor Moses. I think Rudiger is a solid signing but you are far from doing anything significant in Europe IMO and have lost your biggest goal threat. You also have Hazard on the treatment table.
Although it was pre season I thought Bayern obliterated you (until they brought on there reserved and even then they seemed to cut through at will)
I think Conte will have a tough season.
Youre viewing the game with tinted specs mate. Chelsea had like 15 less games then United. Say what you want, you will not be that ahead. Youll be fighting for Top 4 along with the reason of United, Spurs, Arsenal, Man city and LiverpoolYou do realise that was hugely down to the fact we played with 10 men due to costa not wanting to be there and when batshuayi did play we looked better for it.
