More likely he didn't have time to waste talking about the owners 443 formation and was blunt enough to say so.
Where is even the slightest bit of evidence of he said that?

It's bad enough this type of nonsense is spouted on twitter let alone derailing threads on forums.

How come they sacked him?
Because they wanted a manager who was involved with sharing data with the academy, discussing transfers amoungst other things where as he just wanted to coach the side and go home.

So yeah if Boehly (who's according to all reliable sources has basically surrended the main responsibility in the transfer side of things to Eghbali and the recruitment team) was this lunatic who wanted to do the transfers himself, Tuchel would still be here.

I should clarify. If they get Enrique and let him work, it can be great for them. But I think he is too fiercely independent to work with their ownership. In which case it will be a disaster.
I just think he's massively overrated and just not that good

Its funny! Who needs evidence.
It does feel like a handy shorthand for what went wrong even if its not true. The spirit of it feels true.

Not an expert but they wanted a partnership and close working relationship with their manager and to be involved in every level of the club. He wanted to be left alone to manage the team and ignore the other stuff.
Exactly he openly disliked being forced to help look for squad replacements in the summer and pretty much everyone that he and Boehly brought in over the summer have been absolute failures so far. On top of that our form after Xmas 2021 was poor. It was hoped firing him would change that form but it’s not gone to plan.

Thiago Silva out for around six weeks now.

Have to say that they've been incredibly unlucky with injuries this season.

Makes the decision not to put Badiashile in their Champions League squad look incredibly stupid though!

You do wonder if he’ll come back the same
If it’s ligament damage, given his age.

At least that is where I think he was at his best for Leverkusen. I know he already played striker on occasion for them but never really convinced me he was all that good at it. The problem is Chelsea now has 3 players who are all best in the middle behind the striker and have no leading striker, so squeezing them all into one team doesn't seem to work at all for Chelsea.
This is the problem. Nkuku is also coming in the summer who would also take the same space.

Yeah definitely a rough one - fortunately Fofana has looked good since he came back from injury and Koulibaly has actually been pretty decent over the past few games, maybe he's finally getting to grips with the pace of the league.

Part of the bust up with Boehly etc. was of course over the amount of extra work/networking expected from the head coach. But fairly sure this idea of Tuchel not wanting to do with anything except coaching has become a bit of a myth in itself.

I think it comes from the fact that Tuchel himself made a point of emphasising it several times that, after experiencing the chaos at PSG, he found a refreshing set up at Chelsea where he was indeed mostly just left to get on with coaching with Cech acting as the middle man connect between Tuchel and the board.

If Tuchel was sold because of that then is Potter really the right guy ? Potter has constantly said that he is the head Coach kind of implying that he is just involved with the coaching bit

Sure, he has always been open about that at Chelsea. I just think (post bust up) it sometimes gets exaggerated into an absolute, which I don't think it was.

They're doing what we did with Moyes, waiting until top 4 is mathematically impossible before sacking Potter. He probably has the same clause in his contract.

Moyes did not have a CL clause neither does Potter. They will have to pay him off, which is what United had to do with Moyes.

Chelsea twitter posts have always been a dumpster fire, but wow, it is crazy to even look at my twitter feed. People are losing their minds there.

So they have scored 6 goals in their last 16 games. Just over a goal every 3 games. Absolutely unbelievable stat. What the feck?

Potter is on a 6 year contract, there are no clauses. They'll have to pay him fully just like we did with Moyes, LVG and Mourinho.

It turns out giving 6+ year contracts its not a brilliant idea, specially for managers.

Certainly a record low goals per £ spent on transfers that is for sure!

We seem absolutely doomed this season. It's disastrous defeat after defeat and a seemingly endless stream of injuries.

There definitely are clauses in Potter's contract... Even if we sack him, where are the goals going to come from? We could get even worse, if that's possible.

The other option is sticking him on gardening leave and just paying him weekly as usual until he finds a new job, we did that with Di Matteo and I think we're doing that with TTs backroom staff.

Actually that's not a bad idea. Every decent manager will be looking for a job. Unless Potter turns out to be a piece of shit like LVG who rather stay without coaching just to collect the wages from us.

“Real Madrid have scored more goals in England than Chelsea this year”.

Heard it on talkSPORT. Brilliant!

Didn't LvG win a trophy for us before he left? How was he here "not coaching and collecting wages?"

There were several rumors that he had offers from many clubs after he was sacked here but he refused. He only accepted the Netherlands national team job after his deal with us expired.

You can make a case for constructive dismissal .. Potter will win that case easily and get his money.

There is no way out.. either agree mutually to pay off part of his contract, or he gets the whole amount..

Oh, didn't know that. Ty

He should do a manager level Bogarde. Serves Boehly right for these absurd contracts.

We have also been unlucky with injuries and have about half the depth that they do. With their squad they should be competing for top 4 at the very least, they are just a poorly managed squad and a poorly run club.

Exactly this. They play once a week with 35 players. Ten Hag tbf has dealt with the squad really well, considering the games we are playing.

We had 2 fit CM's not too long ago, when Eriksen got injured. Chelsea still have a few, they even sold one to the rivals.

They need to start scoring just to halt the memes

Every team we’ve played in the last few weeks, their fans have been saying ‘Chelsea are bound to start scoring soon, it’s going to be us isn’t it?’. And it never happens

Some unlucky team, one of these days, is going to get absolutely battered and I really hope it’s Dortmund.
