Chelsea v Manchester United 12/01/05

Pretty good performnace so far by Utd - Ronaldo and Rooney both beginning to create some chances.

It's nice having Saha back... how long til the next France friendly?

Bring Scholes, Smith and keano ( if they are on the bench) on in the second half when they tire

Keane not on the bench, Scholes is - but 0-0 OK in first leg so no need for subs unless we fall behind or start to lose a grip on the game.

I'm at work -- again  -- when United are playing and can't listen on the radio. But from Soccernet's live commentary, it sounds like we're playing pretty well.

Ref's a fukin blind cnut....and so is his linesman

oh and btw.....

whatcha know....some fukin movement up front for once  (smith isn't playing).....and hey presto, we've got a target man with some creative ability whos bringing Rooney and Ronnie out of their shells

FT:0-0 Even half, Rentboys had the better of the first 20 min and we came back into it in the second period of the half.

Some wierd Radio adds.

Anyway, given the fact that Chelsea are playing their best X1 bar the keeper we have done really well

i always thought the rooney-saha partnership would be good.. and it seems to be working so far.. IMO rooney and smith just have no coordination at all.. they both drop deep into midfield.. saha and rooney IMO would probabily work better.

Not to sure about this ref - if I'm not mistaken we only had one free kick in the entire first half, plus he turns down our penalty shout and then gives duff a free kick in an almost identical situation 2 minutes later.

We've played alright though - even Djemba seems to be playing pretty well.

I thought we have done well so far. Oshea and mickey are playing well together, much better than what i was expecting :nervous: Ronaldo is doing well with his crosses in as well as not doing too many tricks which is a good thing to see. One thing is imo he's not coordinating well with Phil. Great to see Saha back :D Brings some sparks in our forward, at least.

Djemba has played well and broken down counter-attacks
hope he keeps it up in the second half
so so good to see Saha back
we've done really well considering we've fielded a much weaker team than Chelsea
