Chelsea vs. Manchester United

I don't feel any nerves at all for this one, I think this season so far has battle hardened me.

Good team, and great to see an unchanged starting 11 for once. I'm a great believer that you shouldn't change a winning formula (unless it's absolutely necessary). SAF has decided to go with the same 11 that got us our best away win of the season so far, and yes I know it was only Wigan but still.

I hope Berba isn't too disappointed by it, he has done brilliantly for us this season and he still has a huge part to play the rest of the games. If we win the league this season, a massive part of it is down to him as he'll most likely end up our top scorer. He needs to remember that.

Come on United, let's smash these hollow cnuts

If Hernandez can get into a race with Terry he'll skin him

You could say it would have been equally harsh on Hernandez to drop him for Berbatov.

Would it have been then a better choice to get berba in for rooney?.

Make no mistake Hernandez has earned his place in the starting line up. And Rooney wasn't very good till th 70th minute of the game and thats putting it mildly.

Rooney may have a stormer and prove me an imbecile, but I really thought Berba would be uptop with Hernandez today.

Fantastic that Chicharito is starting, but Rooney as well? What does Berba have to do to prove himself?

Be the top goalscorer in the lea- oh wait he already is.

Anyway, i'm sure he'll come on at some point during the match. Hopefully he won't be too miffed about it.

as much as I love Hernandez, I don't get this lineup. It'll not be an open attacking game where Cheech will get the ball a lot. It'll be a tight attritional game where Berbas better use of the ball outside the box would have been vital.

I can see where Fergie is coming from.

Berbatov has only played well once against Chelsea while with us and this was at OT where we dominated Chelsea.

Fergie is opting for pace and strength against Chelsea's 'big men'. Berbatov does not offer either of these.

Berbatov is effective dropping off and creating. Chelsea's midfield is too strong and mobile for Berbatov's role IMO and Fergie's opinion.

And equally harsh to play Hernandez over Berbatov in the first place.
Really? Berbatov hasn't scored in like a month. Hernandez and his pace will challenge Terry.

It'll be 541, Rooney left I bet.

That'd make hellva lot more difference than going two up top.

In that case Nani Vs Cole should be an interesting match up.

Rooney Vs Ivanovic should most probably see the Serbian play as the 3rd centre back. Rooney does tend to cut in a lot when played on the left.

A question posed then, Is this the famous Diamond formation Ancelloti favors all the time or are they playing ramieres out wide?

Think the selection makes perfect sense - Hernandez has been brilliant away and Berbatov hasn't been at his best away from OT. I think Terry would rather deal with Berb than Chico. Berb will play against L'Pool, maybe with Rooney on the bench.

Terry and Luiz and going to give Hernandez a tough time with their size but hopefully he'll have the advantage with speed.
