We've been fantastic... totally controlled the game, although I'd like us not to sit back as much as we've done over the last ten minutes of that half. Rooney's goal was great...and that's why you put up with him, because on his day he's great. And VDS should kidnapped and brainwashed to play on... he's amazing. More of the same, please.

If i was a Chelsea fan i'd be furious with that goal. Not sure if it's Ivanovic or Luiz but Rooney turns him and then has about 5 yards in every direction and a clear sight of the goal ahead. Terrible, terrible defending, great strike though!

One things for sure no one will be able to say we went to Stamford Bridge with a negative attitude, that was a great 1st half display from our lads there, from back to front, fantastic goalkeeping by VdS & a well taken well placed goal by Rooney, Nani, Fletcher, Vidic all playing well & Smalling looking as composed as ever.
Do you remember Rooney's goal v City? It was nothing like that.

Even if we lose this 4-1 or something I will feel quite heartened by the first-half performance. Not that we've totally played them off the park, but I don't think I've seen us this aggressive and sharp this season.
He didn't really... Evra was right in front of him as he went to pull the trigger right in front of the shot. In hindsight it was fine because Cole fecked it up, but that was screaming for Lampard.

We are lucky to be leading as the Chavs should have scored in firdst 15 mins. But we came back very well and fully deserve to have gotten a goal.
Loved the goal from Rooney, not only for its obvious technical class but also because uptil that point, he was misfiring and had just embarrassed himself with that shoulder header. But still he came back and kept trying. Beating Cech from that distance on his near post is quite some feat.
