Chelsea vs Manchester United

Surprised by our conservative approach, given the line-up. Not surprised that Chelsea capitalize on it. They're a good enough team to punish us when we invite pressure on ourselves. Very, very poor defending from Evra that resulted in the goal, and after that we responded and finally started to play.

Hope we can break the abysmal trend of not being able to turn around a game this season. Would be nice time to do it.

We keep the ball, and move it around we will be fine. Unlucky to be 1-0 down. Should have had a pen. We just need more cutting edge and smarter decisions in final third. No hollywood balls needed.

Most of our play is going through Young when the answer is/has been Valencia in the past few games.

Looks like we have hit our quota of penalties chaps, how he can't give that I won't ever know.

We responded well to the goal though, more of that and I can see us winning.

Can't believe we're a goal down.

That said, there's a sluggishness about us at times as if we think we've got another second or another yard to spare, that just isn't there. Room for improvement in the second half.

I hate stamford bridge with a passion, I really do

Jammy cnuts, we had this sown up if it carried on like that, now we are exposed to their counters. :nervous:

Sloppy by Utd, had some good possession in good areas but never could pick the right pass or make the right decision.

We have allowed a shaky looking chelsea team at the start to grow in confidence as the game wore on. Giggs has had a shocker, piss poor again.
Rooney looks way off the pace, he looks to have lost his composure to me. He just cannot seem to execute the right weight of pass anywhere near often enough for a player of his talent.

There is enough there to suggest we can turn it around second half, but we need to stop being so sloppy in the final third.

Overall, a disappointing first half, but this game's far from over and there's still a lot to play for.

I feel that we've been too sloppy with our passing in the middle of the park. Carrick hasn't been as composed as he usually is, while Giggs has been even more wasteful than usual. I feel that the introduction of Scholes may be the best route of action to take. He'll be sensible on the ball and he rarely makes sloppy passes. I'd bring him on for Giggs.

For me, we just need to try and play through more killer passes to Welbeck. To do that, get the ball out to Valencia. He's hardly been involved in the game, but looks dangerous every times he gets the ball. Welbeck has also looked lively, but just isn't getting a lot of service today. The Chelsea defence is there for the taking. Luiz and Cahill play a dangerously high line at CB, while Ivanovic is now on a yellow for the second half, so he'll have to watch out.

The defence actually hasn't been that bad, in all honesty. Evans and Rio have been decent enough at the back. Rafael has probably been our best player out at right back, however Evra has been suspect and was probably at fault for the goal.

For me, the most disappointing thing is the fact that Chelsea haven't really looked that good. Sturridge has probably been their only dangerous player in the final third. I forgot that Mata and Malouda were on the pitch, while Torres has looked like his usual self.

It has been a very poor game though. Neither side has showed a lot of good football.

Young is an increadibly frustrating player

If you beat the man cross it in, don't pull back and try beat him again.

Forget about the ref.We have not been good enough up front to beat this pile of shite. Hopefully second half we will see some urgency.

Christ, that was a (typically) lucky goal.

As per, it's been a nothing performance from us at the Bridge.

That, and our usual dose of fecking shit reffing.

We're getting done again, I fear.

It wasn't a penalty anyways, Welbeck was brought down outside the box. Could make a case for a sending off though.

Piers Morgan talking sense shocker on Fox in the US. He said the booing of Rio by the Chelsea fans is outrageous.

giggs has been poor so far, has been so lately to be honest.

valencia needs to get involve more,

why young has turn out to be a shit corner kick taker these days?

rafael has been brilliant.

we need to win this game. common guys!
