Chelsea vs Manchester United

Rooney, pens aside, was awful. And Rafael was brilliant.

Can't believe he got man of the match. Rafael should have still been given MOTM despite coming off early, he was the best on the pitch.

What can you say to that? What a game. I was hoping that we would win at the start, but looking back, I'll happily take this.

We were so sloppy at the start of the half. The marking for both goals was suspect and left a lot to be desired. I really don't know how we ended up 3-0 down against an average Chelsea side who weren't even playing well. Evra was incredibly poor throughout the whole game, and was definitely our weak link in defence.

I wouldn't even say that we were that good after going 3-0 down, to be honest. We may have gotten lucky with both penalties, certainly the second one, but I'll happily take it after the woeful decision not to give us a penalty in the first half. After the second one went in though, we were so much better. The team deserve credit for it as well. I said that we haven't had that fight till the end spirit of old this season, however it appeared to be back today.

The third goal was always going to come, and I'm simply glad to see Hernandez get his name on the scoresheet again for the first time in a long time.

De Gea's save towards the end of the match was brilliant. People have been saying that he's cost us game, but today it was the exact opposite. He was the one who saved us from defeat at the end.

All in all, I'll take a draw.

Well given what happened in the game it's a great result and a great comeback, but I really think we should have won. We're just conceding so many stupid goals at the moment. It's not like our defence is easy to breach we're just gifting goals though. Still at least it's a point, at a bogey ground for us.

Glad we had the result but still can't help feeling it's two dropped rather than one gained :(

Before the game i would have agreed, but seeing how it panned out, we have to be happy with a point.

Some games just don't go to plan, but it is always important to get something when that happens. We managed too today, feck knows how really, but a point is an excellent return for what was pretty much a potential drubbing at 3-0 down.

Credit to Rooney for keeping his cool when it mattered, gave us a lifeline really, and put the shits up chelsea a bit. All in all a game littered with mistakes and poor decisions from both teams led to each gaining a point, but i bet we are happier with our point than the Chelsea fans! :smirk:

DDG is going to be such a brilliant goal keeper for us over the coming years. Sure he will feck up, but bloody hell, the potential and already the talent is amazing. Even if we don't win the league this season, he bloody will win it for us in the future. Get behind him for goodness sake.

He had a great game tbf, reckon we'd have had more threat with him and valencia on the right than valencia and welbeck.

No, Rooney was inspirational. The pinnacle of off the ball movement.

And the two penalties were sensational under immense pressure.

Do you have him listed as your next of kin for emergencies?

Btw. this was our best midfield performance in ages. Carrick and comp. totally fecked them over.

Awful? Not a chance. He wasn't MOTM but he was great off the ball and regardless of them being penos, still had to score them under pressure when his record with them isn't great. Somehow managed to squeeze a shot off at 3-2 which lead to the 3rd.

Look, I hesitate to say this because it's a horrible accusation to make, but about 30 seconds before the Hernandez goal when Rio was playing it out from defence... were those monkey chants? :nervous:

Not seen this mentioned elsewhere but as soon as I heard the noise coming from the crowd that's what I thought, and I've gone back and rewatched it a few times.

It's at 83:10.

listen guys...to be three nil down to chelsea away, no matter what the reasons..and to come back like we did is the united way. This can only be great for the confidence. City will know there is on hell of a fight on...no doubt about it

Redknapp is having multiple verbal breakdowns, they keep having to interrupt him and move onto something else less retarded.

I only support Manchester United because of togg.
