I do like the way Mourinho has us set up. Herrera is marking Hazard when we lose possession and looking to make forward passes whenever possible. Our full backs are pushing up well, and Matic has been very good. I believe the idea is to break quickly on the wings and cut back to find Pogba or Sanchez to finish or make a key pass while Rashford/Lingard pull defenders out wide. However, both our key players - Pogba and Sanchez have been extremely poor in their positioning as well as on the ball. Their key player showed up, ours didn't. That's the difference.

I think it'll be difficult to get back into the game. They are happy to sit back and defend deep.

That last move has shown how easy it is to beat this rubbish Chelsea team PACE.Not hard really.BUT the way we've been coached is absolutely shambolic.In that last move Pogba when he receives the ball actually turns back into trouble at the start of the counter attack almost as if he has to play the backwards/sideways pass and then realises he is the start of a counter and decides to get the ball moving forward quickly, from that we rip straight through the middle of them but no end product.

Get it right and we'll definitely get a goal and get back into the game otherwise it'll be a very long afternoon.

That was dreadful, truly dreadful. Rashford inaffective up top, Sanchez working hard but keeps finding himself isolated, Pogba quiet as a mouse. As a team we haven't looked even close to getting in behind Chelsea, we're just passing it sideways on a new endless loop. No penetration.

That said, we often perform terribly in the first half against the big clubs, so I'm hoping for a turnaround in the second half.

It's not even close. Martial is easily our 2nd best striker. Only reason he dowsnt start more is because Mourinho is too self obsessed and doesnt want to give Martial a chance to prove Mourinho wrong for how hes used him.

Starting Jones over Bailly proved to be the wrong decision. Bailly's pace means he recovers from Hazard running him where Jones can't.

We can only hope that in the second half we turn it round like we have in other big matches lately. More proof today we need to spend like £100m on defence.

I think this is a valid point, but it’s also worth noting that top level sport is all about mental fortitude. Much more so than talent. It’s always been very hard for me to rate good players who have brittle confidence.
