There's actually idiots who wanted him here. I'd gladly take the pain of last season to avoid hanging our future on him
I actually watch spurs so I can make a grateful prayer to God that we didn’t end up with him. It’s one of the most pivotal and greatest moments in our history that we didn’t go for him. I’ll be forever grateful to the Glazers. There's actually idiots who wanted him here. I'd gladly take the pain of last season to avoid hanging our future on him
You can hear it boiling in the stadium. I wouldn’t be surprised if Conte had another notorious meltdown some point during the season.@balaks this isn’t meant to be rubbing it but I know we’ve spoken a few times about Spurs and the style of play. You’ve been happy with it, and Conte, but not for the first time today the team have been booed off quite heavily. Obviously whatever happens in the second half you’re still in a good position in the table but where are you currently with this side under Conte? Each time I see you you just seem so underwhelming.

We played well and were on top before Lloris makes that awful mistake. Then he makes another one with a crap pass and it's game over. That's not Conte's fault, that's the lack of quality and composure in the squad. This is why I think what we need is to back Conte properly and invest a lot of money into the team. Obviously not happy with the performances this season but again I feel it's a lack of quality more than anything else.@balaks this isn’t meant to be rubbing it but I know we’ve spoken a few times about Spurs and the style of play. But even at 0-0 Newcastle as the visitors who are known for sitting in and playing counter had more possession than Spurs. They were dominating the play. Yeah can't see him lasting the season at this rate, the fans are beginning to turn
We needed a total squad rebuild though when Conte came in, it's going to take at least another two windows to get near where we need to be. Poch said it years ago and he was right. The squad has not had adequate investment for a long time.Conte did just have two windows where he got what he wanted didn’t he? Is it not fair to say this is his team now?
I appreciate the mistakes today but I’m not looking at the style of play and if you’re satisfied with the direction? I’m not anti Conte by the way either. I just don’t get what the vision is.
Possession means nothing if you don't do anything with it. We were well on top in the match until the first goal then we just fell apart. But even at 0-0 Newcastle as the visitors who are known for sitting in and playing counter had more possession than Spurs. They were dominating the play. That’s unacceptable for Spurs at home.
Playing 5 at the back against a team that is going to sit in and has been the most difficult team in the league to break down with the best defence and least goals conceded. Conte too stubborn to adapt to that.
The amount of complaints about us getting an interim manager last year when it was the first correct thing we did in ages. I do wonder what would have happened if Spurs beat us last year and Nuno lasted longer than Ole.There's actually idiots who wanted him here. I'd gladly take the pain of last season to avoid hanging our future on him

Yes without a doubt. We need another centre back, a LCB, two new wingbacks, a creative midfielder and a rotation for Kulusevski as a minimum. That's just the first 11, we need better quality off the bench as well so probably a couple of good young players for the squad. He’s signed Bentacur, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Perisic, Spence, Romero, Lenglet. Quite a few in a number of positions. Does he really need another two windows do you think?
Half a team! From what I can see you need to start pressing teams better and to figure out a more progressive midfield combination.Yes without a doubt. Yes we literally need a full squad rebuild.Half a team! From what I can see you need to start pressing teams better and to figure out a more progressive midfield combination.

I think he is trying to play to our strengths while covering our weaknesses. I don't think he trusts our defence at all which is where most of our investment needs to focus. That’s a lot. Would you say Conte has improved any of the players he’s inherited?
We are going through a similar process under Ten Hag. I guess my only concern with Spurs is I genuinely can’t see what style of football Conte is looking for. That should surely be embedded by now irrespective. Again, I don’t watch you every week though hence my questions.

I mean, all these preposterous postsArsenal drawing their game today makes the race open even for United, but the perennial sh*tting on Conte is childish, really... Spurs are short and gassed by now, there is no reason to imply they are going to collapse in two weeks.
Bissouma was one of the best midfielders in the league last year. Agree on Royal though.Conte’s style can’t work with the duds they have at wing back and midfield. Bissouma and Royal have no business playing in the Premier League.
Not for the first time Spurs have been booed off at half time. Not for the first time I’ve watched them and can’t work out what their style of play is.
Conte has been given money in both January and in the Summer. He’s brought in a number of players. I’m simply asking what the philosophy and long term vision is at the club as I can’t understand it myself.
Take a lie down.
They said that about Schneiderlin at one time. Some players just can’t make the move.Bissouma was one of the best midfielders in the league last year. Agree on Royal though.
There is no long term, stop pretending they are pretending to do who knows what...
Bit harsh considering this is only his third start for us.They said that about Schneiderlin at one time. Some players just can’t make the move.
Do you honestly believe Conte is even going to be around after 2 more summer transfer windows? History says it’s very unlikely. Already strong links with a return to Juventus.Yes we literally need a full squad rebuild.
Brighton last year played miles better football than Spurs are this year. I don't think he would be world class, but if he was at Chelsea, United, or Liverpool, I think he would look much more similar to last season than what he has shown this year. Him and Hoijberg together is not really an inspiring midfield in a team already playing a back 3 with relatively uninspiring wingbacks. They are way over-reliant on Kane dropping deep to be a creative threat for them. They said that about Schneiderlin at one time. Some players just can’t make the move.
Yeah I don't see why not. I'd say there is every chance he signs a new contract with us.Do you honestly believe Conte is even going to be around after 2 more summer transfer windows? History says it’s very unlikely. Already strong links with a return to Juventus.
Well the Spurs fan here is telling us it is a long term project which needs at least another two windows?
Maybe. Time will tell.Bit harsh considering this is only his third start for us.
