In the latest episode of the United Hour Podcast, Nik (@Rood) is joined by CEO Duncan Drasdo and Financial Director Andy Green from the Manchester United Supporters Trust for a special episode on all things behind the scenes at Old Trafford including a brief history of MUST and their aims today, views on INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe so far, and the Old Trafford regeneration.
It may not be that crazy, But even if it is a two day break what about travelling.
These decisions are driven by money, not safety. That is the problem.

If Burnley v Man United goes ahead on December 30th it will be Uniteds 2nd game in 4 days while it will be Burnleys 2nd game in 18 days.
You know it will be United’s 2nd game in 18 days, right?
United will have just played Newcastle on the 27th.
2nd game in 4 days if that game goes ahead on the 30th, a clear advantage for a Burnley side whom have lost just 1 of their last 5 games in Old Trafford
Has to be a chance this one is a risk with covid hanging about in the camp.

I don't know about you, but with all the suspensions, plus all the expectation from preseason, to the realization we suck, the sacking of Ole and the fact that we didn't really have a new manager bounce... I'm feeling very disconnected from this season, Moyes season kind of disconnected. Only CR7 and his willpower to play the UCL keeping it kind of alive.
PL really need to do something or there will be teams that are 5-6 matches or more behind.
There's probably 2 choices
1)Have a break, which takes 3 games out for all teams, meaning all teams have hard work fitting those in later on.
With there being every chance in a week or 2 of more covid issues.
2)Try and get as many games played as possible.

But yes, it is ever so slightly small time worrying about little Burnley who have a small squad, having an advantage when we've not played for about 10 days!
Guess PL will just push on, postpone where they really have to, play everything else.
Yeah, they obviously have to play as many games as possible. If they stop now that wouldn't change anything so rather try to continue even if they have to postpone 2, 3 or 4 matches every round for next 5-6 weeks.
They should have taken the financial hit (they can afford it) and taken a break. This season is just going to be a mess now.
But what happens if they start getting cases again after that break?
While a suspension of the league sounds good in theory, there is no guarantee that the players won't get infected during the break with the end-of-year festivities upon us. One could argue the danger of getting COVID is higher if a break is introduced and players are able to move around the country more.
If however every player is made to stick to a pre-defined bubble (social group) then a temporary suspension of the league may be useful. But this warrants a considerable amount of trust in players to do the right thing. The consequent fixture pile up however may make that option untenable.

What a mess!
There doesn't seem to be anyone able to use common sense and handle the matter properly.
Many people will lose interest in the competition, nobody understands why some games are canceled and others not, clearly clubs no longer have any kind of bubble.
There must be clear rules, transparency and punishment for those who break protocols, if things go at this pace the best thing is to close the season.

Only one of these choices stops the spread amongst players. The other lets the season continue as it is and putting off the inevitable.
Henderson was in London 2 nights ago for no real justified reason.
It's things like this that are just stupid.
If Arsenal go ahead tomorrow they'll be 4 games ahead of Tottenham.
Clubs could impose fines or punishment for not obeying the bubble rules but they would need to be isolated from family to rule out any alternate risks of being infected. Can’t see them going that far with it.
I mean cases in bursts are always going to happen, but a break when cases were peaking to break the cycle would have made the most sense. The UK will be in a much better place daily case wise in a week or two going off SA’s trajectory.
Maybe but with a younger average population, most scientists suggest UK (older population) could be hit harder and if our peak isn’t until mid/late Jan (and they’re still predicting/guessing yet), a break could see us come out in the peak.
A four week break may help a lot from a health perspective but we’d be buggered fitting the games in.
No easy solution.

Yep. Those "deniers" seem to have gone very quiet now.
There will need to be some morning tests of course, but it'd be pretty surprising for it to be on now, and that Palace correspondent and the others who have "checked with sources" would have red faces!!
