Saturday Night Spies
And people want this season to finish no matter the price.
Based on what? You haven't got a clue about that. If you don't know facts about the virus or it's repercussions please don't say anything at all.
The fact that you stated “I’m looking at you, 1985 European Cup Final” with the you in italics for added dramatic effect tells me it was nothing but an opportunistic cheap shot.
This might be an opportunity with all the disruption to move football over as a summer sport from Feb - Nov. Particularly as soon after the leagues are going to be disrupted by the Qatar world cup.
This is absurd. Shame on Sky and BT for not coming to a reasonable agreement if this does actually happen.Don't know if this has been posted here yet:

It seems the PL must complete the contract of season 2020 by 31st July or they'd lose £750m as well.

If the PL are gonna lose £750 million you can be fecking certain this season is getting finished. They will not let that amount of money go even if it means people will die. Money-hungry cnuts.

You’re right: this was a bad, heavy-handed way to make a point, and I apologise for not wording it more sensitively. I was citing the final as a regrettable whole, though, without taking sides, which was meant to be made clear by using its official title; causal blame lies with the hooligans, and hooligans are never a reflection of the clubs they purport to support. The wrong in retrospect decision to kick-off was what I was trying to spotlight, but the accusatory tone I used was over-egging it, and I'm sorry about that.
“You would have broadcasters from all around the world saying, ‘In that case we are not paying for the season.’ For the Premier League you are talking around £3 billion income a year from overseas and domestic TV rights.
They won't be paying up for the remaining 9-10 matches, it's not like they can pretend they didn't broadcast the first 28-29 matches.
If you can pretend Liverpool didn't win 27 of the last 29 games then surely you can pretend the previous 29 games were not broadcast. Void means void.
I watched Heysel unfold on live TV as a youngster as well (as you'll know, distressing scenes went out live on the night which, even if archived, will probably never be shown again. Certainly the few features about the tragedy I've seen on YouTube haven't - thankfully - included these; what they show is numbing enough) and it left a deep and lasting mark that Hillsborough and Bradford, in every way as horrific of course, didn’t, since I witnessed neither of those unfolding as they happened. No worries mate, I appreciate this response. Watching Heysel unfold on TV, even as a naive teenager, I couldn’t believe they played the game.
Btw are you a Villa fan? That’s what it says on your profile. If so, what’s the general feeling at your club about where football goes from here.

feck them so when it comes to renewal. Dont even let them come to the tableThis is absurd. Shame on Sky and BT for not coming to a reasonable agreement if this does actually happen.

How can the expect palace to complete the season without their manager who will be stuck in his house ? The league should of been voided by now it's clear to see there is no way around this. We will be lucky to see the start of next season. If this uk peak isn’t going to be til May/June, as were being told, then I’m guessing the sports won’t be able to start til after then?
He could manage remotely if needed or put someone in temporary charge like when Houllier was ill and Pinocchio stood inHow can the expect palace to complete the season without their manager who will be stuck in his house ? I'm trying to make a case for the league being null an void so Liverpool don't win the league what the hell is your problem ? You would have no chance in getting close to us anywayHe could manage remotely if needed or put someone in temporary charge like when Houllier was ill and Pinocchio stood in
Global warming? It's all gonna get rather confusing when the Summer transfer window is moved back(as it will have to be) to October/November 2020, and then the Winter transfer window moved back to April/May 2021.

But seriously they couldn't expect him to do that as he is not actually Ill, it's an act of God and if he legally can't be there with his team due to a global pandemic then the match shouldn't be taking place.
Scotland but...
SFA are right.
Its just wishful thinking to suggest the season can be finished.
This crisis will still be about in June. Its a total nightmare.
Rewatch the office on loopThe worst part is not knowing when we're going to see football again. It could be anywhere from a few weeks to upwards of a year, or longer still.
God knows what we'll resort to doing for entertainment in the meantime.
Bring up Leeds, West Brom. Have the other four do their playoff somehow some way(empty stadium, indoors, whatever). Give the title to the obvious champions -Liverpool. Play next season with a shorter schedule and 23 teams. At the end of next season 6 go down. 3 come up.
